My Small Garden

Hi guys
I figured that while I'm slowly planning the design of my grow room, I might as well share a few pictures of my garden. I bought it last autumn so this is my first year and I still have a lot to learn. I built the raised beds myself, they're 1½*3 meters and I love them. I can really recommend growing in these, they're extremely easy to build and makes vegetable gardening so much easier.

My raised beds:

Front (from left to right); Spinach, lettuce, carrots, radishes (some have been harvested and resown), onions, pak choi and turnips.

Back (from left to right); Parsley, lemon coriander, peppermint, peas, broad beans, beans and some more pak choi (too small to be seen on this picture).

Here some butterhead lettuce, carrots, spring onions (hard to see), peas and poppies (Cherry Glow, Dannebrog and other varieties) in the background.

Here my potatoes, strawberries and raspberries (all planted this spring so they're still small). In the back are some jerusalem artichokes my neighbour gave me.

Not shown in this picture: Apple, pear, cherry and plum trees (one of each) and a bed of wildflowers, tobacco and more poppies.

For the geeks
; the spinach is Hector F1, dark red lettuce is Cherokee F1 and the green is butterhead of unknown type, carrots are Red Samurai F1, Purple Dragon F1 and Harlequin (multicoloured), onions are Red Piatta and Bristol F1. Beans are Ying Yang, broad beans are Witkiem Manita. The peas are Alderman and the spring onions are Ramrod.

Potatoes and strawberries are of unknown origin, the raspberries are of the autumn fruiting variety.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures, I'll probably bump it when there's more to show.
