Favorite cameras

I have my first digital still, a three megapixel Sony cyber Shot.

I can tell you that I had to just do it when it came to spending the money.. I wasn't sure and now I'm totally sure.

Although there are better cameras that are cheaper I still trust my cyber shot.

I bought a Canon G-10 day after xmas when it's price dropped $100. Pretty happy w/ it, but haven't really pushed the boundries w/ it. Haven't shot in RAW format yet, for instance.
I have an old 35mm SLR, and haven't used it since turning digital 7 yrs. ago.
I bought the G10 cause I like a smaller camera, as opposed to a DSLR.

What is RAW format? I'm betting my Sony does more then i know.

I like the body style of DSLR . Sony has one that looks like it but it was a Cyber Shot..

I have a Canon DSLR and a ton of lenses and basically I am just not motivated to use it. How do you love a hobby so much and just drop it like that?

To put it short and sweet... RAW files contain a lot more data... data equals image quality. All JPEG files are filtered down into a set number of colors... 256 I think. RAW records much more.

I claim to be a Canon shooter. Some of the macro photography I've seen out of Nikon has me thinking about switching brands. Maybe I just need a better lens.

Ah.. I'll check if my old 3mp does that when I get home this morning.

There has been times I had wished I had bought the extra lenses for this camera but they were expensive then, An example in the sony pamphlet was a 2gb memory stick was over $200

I sure would like a lens to take trich shots. What is that kind called?

Nikon fan buys Sony CyberShot DSLR ....happy

I'm a big Nikon fan and was out looking for one at the pawn shops.

I couldn't find one, but they had an older model 06 Sony Cyber Shot. It's the bomb! Only 6.0 MP, so I got a good deal on a digital SLR camera.

Here's a Macro shot, sorry about the yellow light, that's the HPS, my fault..

Here's the first pic I took with the Sony Cyber Shot DSLR.

And, you can take a pic and enlarge it on your laptop for really good trich views WITHOUT buying an extra lens. I have the DSC-H2 model... love it.
