Pre 98 Bubba x OGK SFV Grow

I was lucky enough to run into the Capt. over in Amsterdam for the 420 Cup, and he gifted me a pack of this cross. I was mega excited, as I've never even seen some authentic OGK over here, let alone got hold of some to smoke. I got 9/12 to pop, mostly because I'm inexperienced, rather than any failing of the beans. I did notice they were more stubborn to germinate than some of the other beans I popped at the same time, taking maybe an extra day to crack.

Most of them were slow to get going too, compared to others around them, but a bit of keen nurturing and most came around and have started looking good. They were topped 2 days ago, as I want some side branching to clone from.

Note there are only 7 phenos now, I culled two that were just really odd and never showed signs of recovering. The last of the 7 is also a strange beast, but out of the 3 freaks showed the most signs of recovery so I've kept it around for a minute - you'll notice it's got none of it's first few leaves, which it spat off despite my efforts to bring it around. There's also a little self-topping individual, which did so really early on - I've a sneaky feeling I damaged a cotyledon helping this one out of it's seed-shell, which may explain!

I was hoping you experienced OGK and Bubba Kush conneisseurs could help me assess the seedlings I've got, so I can work out which lean more towards authentic Kushness, and which, conversely, don't! Though this will probably become more apparent as they flower..

On with the pics, sorry they're not fancy lightbox popup things.. I've still not worked out that ish..

Thanks stones, and DJ, been watching a few BX1, and OGK/Bubba clone grows too, trying to pick up hints about leaf shape, serrations etc. I've got one or two that look more OGK, and one or two that look more Bubba, from what I can work out.

Phillthy.. Thanks dude, healthy-ish, bit underferted perhaps!

MeltingPOT.. at the moment they're under 55W PL-L CFLs, they're great little lights so far, much more efficient than the 125W envirolite thing I was using. They're in straight Coco right now, getting about 1/3-1/2 strength Canna A + B, but for flower I'm planning to have a first stab at organic soil-less, after becoming hooked on BurnOne's Organics for Beginners thread. Running 2 x 150W HPS in flower in a baby BudBox tent, but looking to upgrade to a 250/400W CMH so fingers crossed that will be here when I flip these.

They do seem quite hungry in general.

I culled pheno #7 today, ran out of patience with it, no matter what I did it looked poor so it's gone.
