Like a lot of you guys n girls i go and spend my hard earned cash on growing supplys and seeds.

Coco ,hydroton ,nutes and seeds the cost all adds up and it's a pretty penny if you are new to the scene and want to start up.

So my intention is to start up a website called growcompare.com..
Once i get the site setup ( this is the part i need help with ) i plan on listing the prices of every grow related item these rip-off merchants sell.

Here's a good example, a roll of the plastic backed mylar will cost me £247.00 over the internet per 100m roll , yet Nirvana grow shops sell the same thing @ 10 euro per meter.
The hemporium chain sells the same mylar at and after some arguing 8 euro per meter .

The mark up is huge on things like this if you pay the grow shop prices.

So guys n girls help me to help you save money and take the money from the pockets of these vendors who knowingly overcharge us for the most basic of materials.

So here's what i need you guys to do...i need a techy to help me set up a website and i need you guys to remember the prices of growing supplys and pm me with the name of the shop/chain and the price.

It;s that simple...

Together we can force down the prices, it's a small country where in this particular market there is no competition...so together let us vote with our feet and reward the shops that have the best prices and customer service.

I think my goal is achievable and not without merit or reason so ic'ers help me make a change there is a recession on after all.

PM or public forum post the prices of the gear you buy and where what i'm after is a name and shame campaign.

I hope you guys can help me out as it's going to be a costly hard slug to go it alone.

Well if you do it by yourself it's way too much effort, but if you think about it, here on ic there's ppl from everywhere and i think you might find ppl willing to collect the data about their country by themselves and just give it to you ready to upload =P

A bit easier to do it for irish shops as theres not that many but hell once i get this ripp off shit hole sorted i'm moving on to the uk.

Funny thing about the irish....we give out shit about the prices we pay but when we try to do something nobody is interested???

Here's a good one for you....a certain chain of grow shops has barred me from going into their stores because i told they i was starting up a price comparrison site...wtf???.

It might take a long time but in the end people will have a place to go to to get the best deals without having to spend hours comparing prices in different shops.

Put it like this 1 meter of mylar in one shop costs 10 euro and in another shop on the same street almost you can get the same brand mylar for 3 euros.

Legal exstacy the mark up is 400% same with most of the legal highs in most head shops...400%????

1 gramme of spice diamond is more expensive than a gramme of herb??
