Hi , recently ive built such kinda gbox and it has got ventilated hood 4 this hps and one ball beared comp fan very silent. Im planning Scrog there because of the height of the box. It a small place 30x40x80cm and I use soil mix : perlite, vermiculate, universal potting soil. The sidewalls are covered with aluminum foil attached to them silicone glue. Im waiting now only 4 lamp n i can start running this setup anyone has got expierience possible yields etc using such kinda setups ? thanks

Hey, I'm in a similar situation. Except my HPS light is 100 watts. I also plan to set up a SCROG. My concern with your setup is the aluminum foil. white paint or mylar would be a much better option because they reflect more light. Anyways, I'm interested in your ventilation system. Would you go into more detail about how you're using that computer fan?

Aluminum foil in a small grow box would just cause you to burn up ur plants!!

ditch the foil. if you cant get mylar or foilon use white paint as gbgotmefaded stated..good luck!!

yeah GBgmf as 4 the fans I use 3 computer fans two sleeve beared and one ball beared . That one is 4 sucking the air out from my gbox it's mounted lets say in 3/4 of total height of box. I use 2 passive intakes at the bottom twice as large as the exhaust hole. And so for the other two fans i use them to suck the hot air outta my shielded reflector 4 HPS 70W . they are 4 12 volts but they are running as well on a half of that amount so the temps are between 26oC to 30oC It depends on whether it is night or noon hours. Yeah Gb i think the mylar would be much better but where can i obtain it. I live in poland growing here is an ease and breeze heehe but it's very hard to get the right equipment. I hardly got this 70W HPS on internet auction. The ballast included isnt even new one. Other stuff like venting man work well and is easy to get. U say 100 W HPS HMMM yeah sounds nice 4 me the temps probably wont go any further ahead 30+oC so i can try it. Tell me than what is the size of your gbox? let me know this And guys tell me please what can i do to eliminate hot spots and what to use to cover my walls instead of alu foil? I'll keep this thread updated i have there 2xPOK Kush x P19 & 1x Hollands Hope i dont have a camera yet if somethin bad happens or good i will ask or give tips 4 you if needed. Frankly speaking this is my first indoor grow so i started rather week dont ya think but better to start with lees Wattage than wake up in the middle of fire action u know. Another thing is that i've heard that the mylar we are talking about can be obtained in a chemist shop or whatever. I live far from bigger cities and towns so the opportunity is less than yours. Now im concerned about this " burning you have mentioned above guys. So the question arouses than. Is It so so dangerous 4 my little babies ? As far as im growing there nearly a week nothin bad happened. I think the leaf margins are yellow because of the low humidity and no hot spots. And guys how can i recognize a place where the hot spot appear ? How can i get rid of this . Right now i cant afford any changes so what to do. White Paint>?< it reflects more light than alu foil ? unbelievable.

yeah and also 4 GBGMF this fans were mounted in holes which i cut by a razor knife. The box is builded from the light material it isnt wooden or artificial material. I dont know how it is called abroad but let me tell ya this is that thing people cover the walls of their new builded houses to ensure flat walls and ceilings it's easy to pick up. Light and soft material U can easily make a hole with a razor knife. Tell me hehhe please the profesional name of this product so the next time i wouldn't have to do this foolish descriptions. SO GBGMF i cut the holes on the top of gbox and mounted there those fans by silicone glue. They are silent as hell and very efficient i was surprised uknow with the results. If i get the camera i will certainly give U some pictures of this grow so u can rate my job. Indoors isn't my favourite u know i have kinda nice plantation outdoors about 30+ plants so u know indoors is kinda like experiment how much and what kinda stuff i will get. Of course nothin beats the sun and it's 4 free no heat issues no dark periods no bills no problem so the major amount of seeds i gathered for this season i planted outdoors. My strains are Hollands Hope mostly ans KUSHxProduct 19 less known strain from Plural of Kush collection but they say it's good will see u know we'll smoke and tell ya the results. My box must be very stealth beacause of my family is a great oppose of MJ :( so i have to make it quick and stealth as possible u know
