Vespa

Hey

So I don't feel like taking the car to school anymore
it's giving me pain in one of my knees (tall guy small car)

so I am going to take the bus

but I just stumbled upon this:

2500$ Cdn

900km, 2003, would offer 2000$

Anyone ever owned one ? Tell about !
It would be nice for summer time

could store it in my parents garage winter time

I am young by the way, but I think I would drive one even if I was an old man

I live in a small town too

Vespa`s are some really awesome, durable and easy-to-fix bikes..... there are lots of them in Italy! Really crazy machine, some of them are going quite fast, too fast if you ask me.

But this is a new model so, the "easy-to-fix" might not be so easy, since today all the new things are somehow designed in a way that you MUST go to the official seller.

Anyway, great bike, recommend it

I'm the same. Recently drove a Honda brand scooter of similar design. Beat bloody hell out of my knees. There's no leg room at all. Stopping, and getting my legs out without bashing them on the screen or handlebars was difficult and scary.

For $2000, even Canadian$, you can get a real bike made for grown ups.

Scooters and dual sport bikes are sweet as long as you're hyper-sensitive about idiot drivers who almost never see you before they switch lanes. Oh, and just because it's smaller than a motorcycle doesn't mean that a fall or other accident is any less dangerous. Wear a full-face helmet and a riding jacket at a minimum if you don't want to be paralyzed or killed.

ya my dad didn't want me to get one when I was young (here at 14 you can have one)

as for old style models here's a 1978 P125X vespa: guy wants 2000$
could do 1500$ for sure

i dont like the paint on this one

as for adult bicycles .. dunno never was into bicycles, they are a world of their own, I am a young guy, and not that into cars-bikes

I never go over 100-120km, but usually flow at 80

I am pretty sensitive to other's driving
(you have to watch for your mistakes.. but also those of the others)

I sort of fell in love with the first tan one, because it is pretty, unique (import from florida)
and I just love the slow pace
