I've searched every link in my control panel and still can't seem to find where to disable rep.

what you want to do is go to "my ic"
then select "edit options" in the settings & options group
first section Login & Privacy is the box to show/not show rep level

The only thing under Login & Privacy is a box asking whether or not I want to allow vCard download...which I have unchecked.

Is it because I'm still technically a "new member"?

Go to "My IC", on the right there is a panel of options. Go to "Settings and Options". Next, go to "Edit Options". You will see "Show Your Reputation Level". Uncheck that box and save options.

I'm not seeing anything about reputation in my edit options section. The "subcategories" I see after I click on edit options are....

1. "Login & Privacy" which only has one check box re: vCard download. Unchecked.

2. "Messaging & Notification" has Receive Email from admin (checked), Default thread subscription mode (Do not subscribe), and visitor messaging (two boxes re: messaging, both unchecked)

3. "Thread display mode" (nothing relevant to rep in there)

4. "Date and Time options" (Self explanatory)

5. "Miscellaneous options" has editor interface (standard), show user customizations (checked), and My Links (just a couple default links there)


That's it. Below that is save or reset. What am I missing?

You will also notice when you get to 50 posts you can see who -/+ reps you. Then you will understand why I put you on blast. I read the thread on grey dots which is what I received from you. I did not completely understand that meant it just didn't count until you hit 50 posts. if it was + I am publicly apologizing. Karma, One Love
