What light cycle does everyone recommend?

20? 24? 18? Has anyone tried any real yield tests with the different light cycles?

I think the way to go is 24/7 and MD in his " Sour Bubbleryder , a moment of truth ? " States the same thing.

I got the best results by far on my Blue Streak grows at 24/7 then any other.

Im sure they would not have done this well with a lower light regiment (less wattage, less light). However Im very pleased with this cross and it is going well.

a lot of people run 18/6. a lot run 24 on. i hav clones run 24 until they root. then they go into veg for 18/6 because roots develop faster in dark. and then they get the ol' 12/12 in flower but they all work and i've heard of jus about every variation between. i hav a thread with a section on critical lighing.

for true autoflowers 24/7 is the way to go imo. either that or sometimes i use 20/4 to save the bulb/costs.

I suppose the real question is "how much do you feel like paying on your electricity bill"?

24/0 is optimal. 20/4 or 18/6 is plenty, but 16/8 is about as short as you can go without losing out.

I did an big thread on this back on HB.net... damn so much info was lost when it went down.

I did multiple tests showing 20/4 lighting is the best to use for healthiest, highest yeilding, and most important most potent plants.

I say run whatever you're comfortable with, I also like the 20/4 as it gives them a little dark period. I disagree with "losing it" at the 16/8 mark, i've seen people run them 12/12, they run outdoors with 12-14hours of light also. My outdoor AF's are currently getting 15 hours of light a day..

You get the point..

Any of the above will work fine, though.. peace
