interested to hear if anybody has done this with autoflowers, and what the best methods would be. i think single cola's would suit my narrow area. hope somebody can help

What do you mean by lollipopping? I am guessing you're refering to pruning? I have never tried it on AFs.

pruning so the plant focus' all its energy on a single cola. you end up with effectively a bud growing out of the soil

I am familiar with pruning.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Just a central cola and no small popcorn buds or lower branches? Go for it man, no ones stopping you. Who knows how it will affect overall yield, atleast you wont have popcorn fluffnoogins though.

Don't forget that if you're grinding the bud then it doesn't matter weather it's from a main cola or lower "popcorn" buds. Grind and vaporize, it's all going to get you high in the end.

I am interested to see what happens here, please keep us updated on how this turns out. I will run my own experiement with a few of my next batch in my perpetual SOG, I will have at least 16 females flowering so I can do like 4 lollipopped and compare the weight difference between them all.

im not doing it for yeild, i grind my bud and smoke it through bongs so not fussed if its a cola or popcorn buds. i just think a lollipopped plant with 1 single cola will take up alot less room than a fully bushing beast with fan leaves all over the place, if ya get me lol. probably 1 to try!

A lot of the AF's grow as a single cola already so I guess it depends on which strain you use.

Thus alot less yeild. AF's don't produce much anyway so why cut off the popcorn? Thats taking away from a your potential yeild.
