Gardening on the Narrow
![]() Red bell peppers, radishes, onions, Brandywine & Celebrity tomatoes, Hot peppers, green beans, and some carrots. Soon there will be some lemon and market cukes, with more greens grown underneath the trellis I'm in the process of building. All seen in this photo are only a couple of weeks old, in a few months I'll be back with more. |

I'll give you guys a few more shots of things in the backyard/garden.
I believe the variety of these strawberries are Temptation or at least that's what home depot was calling them last summer last year. I decided to put 4 in half a wine barrel last August 08, a heavy soil was all I had one hand, mostly sand, thick top soil, a bit of so-so compost and clay. They seem to be liking it, and the soil stays relatively moist most of the time. Fed them a few times with fish emulsion & seaweed. Already have 20-30 "nickle sized" light green strawberries developing with tons of new flowers and new leaves shooting up daily. ![]() ![]() Also some wheatgrass, very quick grown', and just under two weeks ago I stuck the seeds into the ground. I bought a pack just to try them out since it's my first year trying it. I suggest anyone serious about them to buy bulk seeds. Also to let them go for 100 days, then they will have all that great nutrients you can squeeze out of them.

Those "rolls" are actually just wire fencing w/row cover material. Those helped me out when it was still cold out.
