I like it because it makes ya feel full for awhile. It's cheap too. 3$ a lb. Two bowls feels like you ate a whole meal. I heard it's good for ya too but we'll see if it adds any improvements on my health.

I get it at this place called WINco...they have a bulk foods, I think you can get it any grocery store. Just ask for it. I like the bulk but you can get it in boxes probably for a little more cash. Inca red and Peruvian white.
Cook it like rice. 1 cup to 2 cups water. Boiled and let to cook. Tastes like shit raw. youtube it, there are many how to's. Wash it to before you boil it. I'm eating some more right now for dinner. It tastes just like rice with a slight taste of potato. enjoy! ps- Lots of fiber so drink plenty of water when eating as to stay hydrated. |

ancient and wild grains and vegtables tend toward greater nutritional value DUE to them not being selected for their bloated water retaining fruits for generations... you get a much higher nutritional value per gram from species not repeatedly cubed for weight... |

I know we have a population problem and it needs to be fully understood before we can change something but even though I am extremely grateful for what I have, I can't help but feel very unsettled that many are not eating at all..and to see how much we all waste it's amazing. This plant could feed so many...how in the hell do we have this much poverty and people that are not eating??
