These new growers are also starting to breed the AFs with NON-AFs to produce there own new hybrids, in most cases the AF gene enters another pure NON-AF gene pool and spreads around begining its journey.

Here is where we as growers/breeders need to practice Genetic Conservation Of NON-AF Genetics. If history is starting to repeat itself we really should keep a watchfull eye here. Just like when the Pure Indica strains started to flood the West yrs ago, now it is hard pressed to find a good Sativa strain that hasn't been bred with an indica base parent. The Pure Landrace Sativas are mostly gone,, only a hand full survive in various forms. I have a Pure Mexican Sweet Sativa that takes 100-110 days to flower, the taste from her is like no other, but contamination from AF genetics would destroy her pure form. Losses like this can't happen if we are to preserve the genetic pool we all hold so dear.

So, please if you are going to breed with AF genetics be sure to let people know the seeds you are sharing have the AF genes in them so all precautions can be in place. Like they say, An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Stay Pure! Geneticly Conserve!

I understand what your saying bro "If it aint broke dont fix it" but in saying that in life we need change to move forward and progress... if done properly an auto hybrid is magical.... i have a few hybrids going they will be magic when they are done.. i am wokring on and auto white heavon and and auto chemdd x seni star.... if your an indica lover the auto chemdd x seni star will blow your mind in numbing kinda way... if you like sativa the auto white heavon will have cleaning the house like your wacked on speed lol

So true. Since MMJ is possibly gettting two thumbs up by alot of states. Someone or some group of people need to start a Library of MJ Genetics. Like they do now with other seeds. But agree, if not prevented we will all end up with Hienz 57 weed... no telling whats in it.

Hopefully someone will compile the genetics as data, and just synthesize strains in a lab with the information recorded, bottom line is many many plants have gone extinct, id like to think of it along the lines of recreating dinosaurs.

What Im trying to do here is make sure people are sure to save your Landrace/pure Parent stock for future generations. And try to control the spread of AF genetics so they dont come over abundant in the world wide cannabis genetic pool. Just like if Pure Deep Chunk was lost due to hybrid breeding and not kept pure it would be a total disaster to the cannabis genetic gene pool. Losses like that need to be prevented. So be sure to breed your hybrids but dont forget to keep your parent lines pure aswell.

I think there are enough purists who poo the auto genes that the old goodies won't be lost. You just have to know where to find them. I forsee a multitude of autos along side the good genes.

The guys with the good genes won't let this cannabis conundrum occur IMHO.

Like Shanti's going to lose his gene pool to auto infestation... whatever. The guy has five banks of his genes on varying continents.

I agree with you creeper, I do hear what the argument is, I just dont think it will be a big deal. People wouldnt let it, they love their specifc strains so much. This situation will self regulate itself

Peace/Love/Joy
