First off let me say hello to everyone. I was a long time og'er and came back to the "scene" so to speak, just to find that there was no more og after about 6 years. Anyway this is my first post on Ic, i had a thread on the planet but now it looks like it might be out of commission also... Even tho i havent posted i have been haging around for a couple months. Been working outside on my veggie garden alot and just wanted to show it off lol.
Heres the beginning...

Everything sprouted good, corn in the rows, squash and zucchini in the middle and Kentucky blue pole beans on the opposite end.

the beans are doing the least well, still a few good plants but they are mostly short and eaten off when they were seedlings. So the one end of the bed looks alittle empty so i threw a Lowryder#2 sprout in one of the open spots.. To keep everyone interested . heres one of the best beans.

Looks tasty already! Fresh green beans cooked with a hunk of ham and some chopped onion. Hot, buttered biscuits, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and a cold glass of milk...let's eat!

I learned to make a relish (of a sort) for green beans. Roughly, equal parts of chopped onion, tomato, and cucumber in a mild solution of about 1/1 or 1/2 of apple cider vinegar and water with just enough sugar (a tsp or so) to take the edge off the sour. Salt and pepper to taste and let it set in the fridge for a half hour or so, and spread liberally on the beans.

Namaste, mess
