Trying to save my Orange tree

I have 2 Orange trees in my backyard. One is doing great, the other is small and wispy and the fruit on it is small.
I've only been living here for a year but it was looking the same way for a year, and probably alot longer.
So, can anybody shed some light as to whats wrong with the tree and how to go about nusing it back to health?
I don't want to have to cut it down if its salvageable.
Thanks...Evl

did you feed it??? and if you already have... then is it getting full exposure to the sun?? i have a lemon tree.. makes a big difference from when you feed it as to not; everything from texture, size, and taste. i just brew up some tea and just dump it around the tree. and man o man you'll see result in one week or so. green leaves... and i mean fresh healthy lookin leaves as to dark old stiff dry lookin ones.

at a second look at the pics... im thinking that you're not feeding the tree at all. third picture of the tree at that angle you can see alot of yellow leaves.

hope it pulls through winter... then hit it with copper oil... hopefully the new growth next year won't be affected... clean your tools when/if pruning but i'd just leave it alone not to stress it... make sure it's not getting affected by insects; if so treat accordingly... i have one that is like 20 years old and is jacked this year from the past year... can't do anything till next season
