First F2,s are a couple of weeks into veg and seem healthy enougth , plenty of seed being made as i feel this cross is well worth working with and has some excellent traits and good vigour.
A stable male from these could be a good starting point for a number of interesting standard crosses and bring something a little different to them.

First ten SF packs went in minutes so i assume there is some demand for these genetics even in the limited form being offered.

The male used has been a prodigious producer of pollen in several flushes and is being revegged , easy strike on anything and no lack of virility there.

If it crosses well with DC i reckon it will cross well with this and am trying a few.

Day 56 for the first three Cherrychunk F2,s and they have done very well , both types are present and identical to parents with no hermies to date.

Only problem is stretch in flower which is greater than either parent at 3 - 4 x , the top colas are way above the lights and completely underlit for a month or more and are understandably confused.
Fifty percent males so far so not a dead line yet.

The dodgy looking yellowy bits are new pistills and not the hermie bits i thought they where on close inspection , an alarming trait of the mothers too.

Have sorted 1500 for freebies and some server fund packs as asked , beware stretch if its an issue for you and flower early and train hard for indoors.

The male Cherrychunk is looking good in some test crosses and also seems stable.

Cherrychunk x Geisha is the next one on the list.

Thanks fjällhöga , a most rewarding cross in every way.

is this how you judge when plant is 'done'?
10 days w/ no new pistils?

enjoy your garden!

Every plant gets the same treatment so i had to choose a consistant and repeatable point.
By trial and error this stage seems to offer the most distinct flavours and a good indication of potency , much later and body effect becomes more than i like.

20% and a minimum of ten days with no pistills would be more accurate , most have none for the last 14 - 21 but the odd one never fully stops and is unusual and often hazey.

Left an original plant 21 days past this point as a test of stability and it was too strong for me to enjoy but an excellent painkiller.

Thanks Fj , they all have a distinct visual appearence but its subtle and hard to capture , to the eye they honestly look vastly better than the indoor pics indicate.

Unusual pastel colour pallete and a greasy wet look to them with light at the right angle , will nail it at harvest in sunlight , they stand out easily amongst a random 40 odd others and are rapidly colouring up.

They stick to the mylar if gently pressed against it which is always a good sign.

The original buds dried out slowly to a consistant weight after 14 days , dry to the touch a few months on but oily wet as you crumble causeing a right mess rolling sometimes , truely wonderfull deep aroma that repays a cure and full strength.

Not found one yet with any specific cherry taste but one definately has the strongest and most specific aftertaste of blackcurrant and goes down well.

Day 72 and mostly done , some nice colours with temps near freezeing , really strong odour on one and all are heavily triched to 20% amber.

Both main phenos from the oiriginals are present and they seem to be a fair representation of a fine cross.
