Sweet bigmone. I saw this on the news last night and totally forgot to post it. I live in this great state so im really excited and hoping this will happen. I'll do as much as i can to see that it happens. So far weve been able to get medical marijuana legalized in detroit(only using it is legal in det.) and Ann Arbor where they have laws setup like californias. Also in Ann Arbor its only a $25 ticket for an oz or under or for tokin. Lets get this passed. peace and *bong*

you GO, Michiganders!

Even though I no longer live in Michigan, it's my home state.
I'm quite proud of the great strides Michigan has made in the fight in these years since I've left the state.
Even though I no longer live there, you can give me all the credit. Me leaving Michigan was the best thing to ever happen to the state. Like a curse being lifted. The year I left the state, the Red Wings won the cup
So there ya go. Thank me, cooked cook
Rock on Michigan. Keep fightin the fight.

One State at a time!!!

ALBANY, N.Y. -- A Republican lawmaker has introduced a bill in the state Senate to legalize marijuana for medical use.

Sen. Vincent Leibell, from Dutchess County, offered the measure, which would let doctors prescribe marijuana to patients with life-threatening, degenerative or permanently disabling conditions.
Leibell told the New York Post the controversial bill is not the same thing as decriminalization pot, but is just an exception for "a narrow part of the population under closely controlled medical standards."
The bill in the Republican-controlled state Senate differs slightly from one in the Democrat-controlled Assembly.
But Leibell and Assembly Health Committee Chairman Richard Gottfried, a Manhattan Democrat, plan to hold a bipartisan press conference on the issue Tuesday -- along with television talk show host Montel Williams.
Williams is prescribed medical marijuana by a California doctor to help deal with his multiple sclerosis.
Last year, he urged Governor Pataki and Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno to follow the 10 states that have legalized cannabis for medical purposes.

I ditched Michigan a long time ago but spent most of my life there. I love the lakes and it is a great state but the Pigs suck there. Not all of them but some and I was never busted but I left when the Republicans ruined the place. Engler led the Republicans to ruin our state and now they want to legalize pot. Yeah, that'll be the day. I hope so and if they do perhaps I will move back. BOG

Now that's more like it. We all need to support NORML and get bills like this to the forefront. However we may do so. Good luck to Michigan.
