Little Skunk IBL...
Here's one of several IBL Skunks I grew out mostly for the male pollen to make some crosses with but I ended up with 6 females and here's one of them done @ day 70 of 12/12.I really didn't have the space to grow them out proper but I have cuts from all of the 6 seedlings so I'll grow those out in the future. The males did successfully pollinate my selected cuts.Anyway this is really nice skunk, not the sweet kind but the deep dark kind.

Nice looking plant! Can you elaborate on "not the sweet kind but the deep dark kind" of skunk? How's the smoke?
I've been debating picking up a pack of these from Brother Monk. The strain description sounds like oldschool RKS to me, but I have read in posts it is not RKS. That picture looks like the RKS I remember from the 80's - dense lime green crystal covered buds! |

I can only say it's the closest thing to 80's California skunk I've seen since I left California, when skunk smelled like skunk without the addition of oily roadkill stenches or sweet widowy additions.Don't get me wrong I love all that stuff but it was not what I wanted to suit my current purpose.I wanted it to be skunky on the exhale, not fruity or chemmy and that is exactly what I got, as advertised by HTC when they put this stock up last year.If you are from California and are in your late 30's or 40's or more you know what I mean by those big lime green skunk balls we used to buy up and down the coast. One of my friends from Hawaii told me last week"Now that's skunk!" the odor is pre-dankness, a deep dark scent, not as strong as a real skunks ass but more like a spot it sprayed 2 days ago after a rain...The cuts I have grow like lightning and are very vigorous as were the seedlings. Subrob did a great report on this strain and we must have bought it around the same time, I just didn't get around to starting them until later.I wish I had grown them much bigger now but you know what they say about the best laid plans...Chaco, aka , Lilly456.

in 87 i was a 17yr old USMC stationed 29palms CA. (bonjovi dead or alive was actually cool to listen to in the desert) the skunk was intense smelling w a very hashy exhale. not an exhale actually, more like choking up a lung.
the breeder descrip for the strain i bought is 1980s west coast sk1. sounds promising... |

---did you get one, or two phenos? i had the one pheno that grew typical single cola plant(looks like above) that WAS sweet smelling, kinda, but not fruit sweet, more like sweet.....i dont know...motor oil. haha. the other pheno had a much more astringent(good word bro monk, by the way) aroma, and grew bushier, did not need to be topped to get multi cola's. loooove this strain, have made a cross, and will be poppin more beans looking for females and more males! great job chaco ![]() ---in 87 i was a 17yr old at humboldt state, but i live in san diego now! haha(and by the way, dead or alive was cool, even in arcata back then) |

Haha in 87 i was 7 years old this was when i had my first experience with weed my good mate who was 8 at the time used to steal weed out of his dads tin and we used to smoke it b4 school(bad paranoia) his dad used to grow some huge plants aswell first time i ever saw an mj plant.... Ahh the memories my mate has passed away since then(R.I.P james) and about 4 years after i first smoked weed 1991 was when i first tried skunk from james dad of course (dont think the old man ever found out we were smokin his stash) i still remember it to this very day i loved the taste and the high...
I got subrob's GDP/SKIBL but i wouldnt mind getting hold of some pure SKIBL just 4 the memories...

Beautiful specimen anywayz Lilly. Maybe now you will give her a little more attention? Pass some cuts around too. This skunk really needs to get back out there. Solid genetics and a great buzz for your buck. Who could ask for more? Thanks for postin her up! K+
