Hunting morels
Hey guys anyone else here hunt morel mushrooms? I am on the east coast and season last till mid may. I found some huge ones most of them were about 10 inches long and extremely fat. Found 3 lbs in all so far and sold 2.5 lbs of them. Haven't cooked any up yet though

wow very, very impressive, bushmasta. These are really big!
It's also the morel season over here but I haven't found any yet. One year, I found some right at my doorstep. Don't forget that morels are toxic raw and need to be cooked for at least 15-20 minutes. Enjoy them!

Hey guys didn't know morels were toxic fresh so good thing I haven't eaten any yet. I dried what I kept for myself but I am sure there will be more freshies soon. I will prob saute them with some garlic, butter, and maybe some chives to add to some homemade fettucini with grilled chicken. I am making myself hungry talking about it! The morels are all in this area I found 2.5 lbs at one spot and have found 3 or 4 more each in different locations less than a mile away. I just gotta run up on some more patches like the first I found. I have been out scouting for outdoor mj plots and have now started digging so I am sure I will run into more. Although I will say it is pretty hard looking for certain trees which morel mycelium lives with, looking for morels sticking out, and watching out for snakes at the same time.

I don't care for uncooked mushrooms anyway. Especially the more unique varieties.
