Lightbulb Your Favorite Nature Documentaries.

I just watched a great Nature episode called "The Dragons Back. The Andes."

Lets hear about all the best nature documentaries.

This one was all abou the andes and how they effect the whole world, and how they are very unique. It was really good.

gotta love planet earth and blue planet. just hours upon hours of intense nature. caves part is the best... considering i've been in a number of them

i used to have tv and watched nothing but discovery/nationgeo/history channel but not these days.

i love the nature documentaries on neat little animal adaptations. like trap door spiders and stuff. haha. how do they get those ridiculous camera angles in ant hills without ruining the hill?

i'd love to see a film of someone filming inside an anthill. that would entertain me for sure.

You gotta see the one from Papaua, New Guinea about these birds that build little arbors on the floor of the jungle.

They build a little arch of sticks on the ground, and hop around to attract their mates. The blue ones go out and bring in everything blue they can find and display it on the ground. Berries, blooms, etc. This attracts the females.

It is one of my fave nature shows ever.

Then of course there is the one about Timothy Treadwell and his adventures as Grizzly Bear food. That one is a classic everyone should watch. I swear, TTs girlfriend is the dumbest wench I ever heard of. To hit a grizzly with a frying pan instead of running away....that was sooo dumb. Ole Timothy's hollering, run, run, get away while the bear is eating me...save yourself..

She picks up a frying pan and gets eaten as well.

Good one.

im really big int o documentaries. nature of course but also crazy stuff. i was thinking of starting a discussion about my weird habit. late at night, usually weekends, i will go to surfthenet (can i plug a website?) and click channels. you then have a choice of all kinds of genres. comedy, art, movies. but in some places you cant watch some of the shows or the speed is to slow. like youku and crap like that. but the documentaries is really good. google videos has a ton or some other crazy video program. anyway, i can pick a letter from the alphy and watch whatever. B for bugs. S for spiders. whatever my buzz dictates that night. Hitler, stalin, ww2 stuff vietnam, barbarians is great. history of huns, ganges kahn (bad spelling) roman empire. really, the list is endless. lots of pot stuff there too. and its not all under D for dope, but some is.!!!! Drugs, lsd, cocaine cowboys was interesting. worst jobs in history is a great documentary series. check it out. goes great with a buzz. i have watched a few twice because im so baked and its late and a beer and i forget what i watched by the next day. very educational and entertaining.
thanks. little j

Lola, i think i know the one you're talking about with the dancing birds. There's this black bird with crazy neon blue markings and it does a wild mating dance. Birds are so interesting and have provided a wealth of knowledge for the early development of the "theory" (is anyone still debating this one?) of evolution. i.e. charles darwin and his research in the galapagos islands.

"there is no law, but natural law..."
