Bubba Cross finished in 50 days?

I've just spent a couple of hours checking my cannocopia ladies and the short pheno looks madly smoked-trich ready.

The other 3 seem still 90% clear but the little lady looks almost ready

It's 42 days today since the flip.

Would either parent plant finish that fast?

This is a question to anyone with experience witheither deep chunk or the bubba used in this cross, or any bubba I guess, is it possible they'll finish in 50? Am sorely tempted to start my flush on her, will get some pics up soon, and try to make them clear so your collective advice can be as accurate as possible.

Thanks

I think DC can finish quick, but not so much bubba. Harvest dates are funny, they are genetic potentials.

Thanks for both replies. At Day 47 now, will pull her out of cab tonight and make up my mind.

Looks killer cornflake, love the leaf curl, very cool.

If it's not to much trouble, could you take some shots of the dry bud, and a smoke report? Ive had some pretty bad luck so far with there seeds(not showing up after i paid, shit happens though) looking to maybe try and get some more. after seeing your pic, might have to get some

Some phenos of DC can finish extremely fast, tho from what I have read the more potent individuals tend to be on the middle range in flowering, time. But DC mixed with bubba could be quite a bit more potent then either before.

I'll be posting both a smoke report and dried nug shots danny

I've been very lucky, out of maybe 10 seed orders all have arrived. The really good thing about losing cannocopia seeds is the replacement costs is nicer than losing something 10 times as expensive. I will attempt to give you guys as accurate an experience as I can, that's why I run a grow thread even though it's not an official test grow.

I am really liking the resin production. The roadkill look bigger yield but the bubba looks hella like the sour bubble I ran last year, and that was a nice smoke. It looks nice...

You must bear in mind these gals have been a bit hot and under-aerated (think fannage), in my new cab. The two big gals just destroyed all air flow and the really bizarre thing.....this happens after a huge sellout in Australia (my area of) of all small fans ideal for my cab (I do not consider 120mm computer fans of any use in my situation, and have tried em).

I have to wait until local importers get more. Maybe I'll do a thread search on iicmag looking for good O/S ones I can buy hmmmmm

So........

Coco shows excellent yield, when grown properly. At the sacrifice of taste =(`

We'll see decent yield but not what I'll see on a second run if we find a keeper of 2.
For pics of both plants check my sig "cannocopia 2 strain run" or click here

I've decided to run her to 58 days as well, she was flushed this morning and running a nice clean ppm runoff. I'm not hardcore about a 7day flush I find even after 5 days I'm not gettin bad tastes, so to me I can watch trichs between 5 and even 8-9 days and cut when I want.

Prob now is am gettin older and eyes aren't what they were and those trichs are so small ;p

Grabbin a 420 scope soon.....

Welcome LLCoolBud. Both the Bubba's look good, the little one is very very slow and stinks more "acid", that harsh bitter woody smell. She was a mutant thing, grew an extra trunk.
I hope it's the other one that's the keeper hehe

I'm tryin real hard to watch my trichs, it's not easy and I don't have much free time to pull em out during their light cycle and do it. life's other needs always seem to encroach when you're busy doin somethin fun in the micro-environment we nurture =)

All I've smoked in 3 months is 1 strain, so I KNOW I'll be enjoying both these strains; so I won't post my smoke report until I've smoked em for a couple a weeks at least.

Hang in there boys and girls

Really depends on what floats your boat. I've been growing out the Chocolate Trip DC cross and the hands-down best so far was done in 45 days....the females I took to 56 days were way too couchy; the buzz was like John Goodman sitting on your skull, much too heavy an indica. For me. But some folks love that sort of obliterating downer-head.

I'm running my last two in veg now and don't plan on going past 50 days flower on either one. Beyond that, the DC daddy completely dominates the high, although the DC is dominant throughout the grow regardless of when you chop (veg growth is slooooow as well - ideally, these crosses need 8-10 weeks of 20/4 to come anywhere near their advertised yields).

You might get the idea that I'm disappointed in this cross - I'm not. Like any strain, you gotta dial em in through trial and error but once you do it's quality herb. The secret IMO is to flip-flop veg and flower times: 60-70 days in veg and 45-50 days flower should get you where you're looking to go.
