ORGANIC Tomatillo/Pepper Growers report here
I'm growing tomatillos and peppers for the first time (both of purple varieties) and would appreciate any advice from veterans who have already traversed such grounds. Post any information regarding non-organic methods and I'll ban you. You've been warned.

I've been growing organic peppers for decades now. I always work eggshells into my soil before planting, the extra calcium seems to help quite a bit. Neem works well for aphids, the only insect pests I ever get here.
In colder summers I'll go out and do some hand pollinating because they aren't nearly as attractive to the bees as everything else in my garden. If you're not getting very good fruit set, and your calcium, temps, etc are fine, you might want to try it. |
