idoreallytry, FirstTimer and JWM, Thank You. Stick around and well see how these turn out.
luciano28, Great looking Bubblelicious! Yes mine is the Nirvana brand as well. I have read both good and not so good (mostly good) reviews on this strain. I have had these beans sitting around for about 2 years so I thought I should give them a try. Did you get a decent yeild out of yours? BudBo, Very good questions. I was thinking the same thing. I knew that Sensi Star was mostly Indicia and thought that the NYCD was some kind of cross of both Sativa and Indicia. I went to the Delta 9 labs website and this is what they wrote: This strain is the sativa-dominant progeny of two highly awarded strains: Paradise Seed’s Sensi Star, winner of Highlife and High Times awards in 1999 and 2000; and Soma’s New York City Diesel, three-time Cannabis Cup winner and a favorite among the Amsterdam crowd. Since I have not tried either strain, I am looking forward to it!

They look pretty vigorous so far Or. Guy, nice work! The look of the fan leaves threw some peeps off on the brainstorm haze too, as I grew it out.
The seed description fit the goods come harvest time. i think this SL will turn out top notch and I cant wait to see how it comes along, great so far. RM

If you want to see more photos, check out my "old" gallery, there should be quite a few Bubblicious pics in there, if you got any more questions, feel free to ask, I'd love to answer them if I can bro. But back to the topic at hand, I cant wait to see your Southern Lights babies grow up into mature women, hehe. There has to be some bad ass plants in this cross. Ive smoked Sensi Star and its by far one of my favorite indica dominant strains I have ever smoked and I will grow her one day. I've also smoked lots of "diesel" and I just love the taste and power(even though it never lasts too long with diesel). Seriously, these should be some FUNKY plants here. Your seedlings look great Oregon! I lurk a lot so if you dont see me around it dont mean I stopped watching the grow show. Im real interested in watching these grow.

H Resin, Thank you for the kind remarks. I think it's really cool when the breeders take time out of thier schedule to add to these posts. I am really looking forward to trying out your gear!!
Retardo Motabon, Thanks, Yea I have some Jock Horror in flower right now that started off with some pretty wide leaves but now they are showing some sativa traits. How was that Brainstorm? I was checking that strain out too. luciano28, Way to go on that bubblicious. I am hoping that I can get a decent yeilder off of mine too. I am still dialing in my grows and am trying out a couple of different things this time around. Going to bump it up to 3 gallons from 2 for the final pot. Started watching the PH of the water this time around too. I may be switching to Flora Nova nutes and liquid karma by the time this grow hits flower as I am starting to run low on the FF stuff. baet, That diesel X cheese sounds good. Who is the breeder on that? I have a couple of big budah chisel (NYCD X cheese) that I will try out sometime hopefully. I begin counting the days on my veg when the first "real leaves" grow out (I know there is big debate on the correct time you should start counting them as veg.) So you could probably add 3 or 4 days to my number since they broke ground. I use a commercial soilless mix that does not have many nutes in it from the start. I give them 1/4 strength GB and 1/2 strength BB about 7 days after they break ground. IME the GB is not that all that strong and after 2-3 weeks of veg they will start showing N def if I do not use it at near full strength. For lights I have them under 8 26 watt blue cfl's. I would like to upgrade to a MH but at the present time I do not want a noisy inline fan going in my veg area. The flower tent is in a seperate room and can make all the noise it wants lol. Hope this helps. I will post another pic update in a couple of days. Be safe everyone!!

i see. yup, we'll good pics, look good! yeah i got sum growbig yesterday, but is BB big bloom? thats interesting... or am i retard. but hmmmm.
and also 12 days after first leaves starts sounds reasonable under ideal condish and good feed. but thanks for the help! EDIT: oh yeah, the sour cheese is bred from a local grower a friend of mine, but bigggg developed bugs covered in trichs, with an honest smell of just fresh pineapple when fresh, mmmm. strong stoney high. good stuff, really looking forward to an early start outdoors with this strain, gonna get fat mamas! |
