Must be "liberal" to discuss sex HERE and be sorta intellectual and think that sex is not DIRTY or just for REPRODUCTION. ! We don't want to shock anybody because we LOVE SEX just like men do,,,,We just want to share here and maybe bitch about narrow minded ppl that sensibilities are easily insensed.

Isn't it an insane world where we "protect" our children from "sex" (while slathering it all over our advertising) and allow them to see violence almost unrestrictedly! (Don't ya just love living in a "warrior culture"?

)

But things are changing- some senior facilities are beginning to realize that sex after 60 isn't THAT uncommon. (My widowed father-in-law had quite a time at an assisted living complex! About 4 gals to every guy!

)

And the hubby still pats my fanny as I walk by. He embarrasses the heck out of our straight-laced, adult sons! LOL

I'm a guy, and I was actually raised to believe that women don't enjoy sex, it's something that they do for guys when pressed. That lead me to miss out on so many opportunities while growing up due to not wanting to drive the girl away, instead the opposite was true. It took me far too long to realise this, but when you believe something, it takes far more evidence against it than for it to change your views. Nice thread, I just wished it was around 18 years ago lol.

Theres always been that double standard with men and women...men can have as many partners as they want and they are studs..a woman does the same thing and shes a slut...never did understand that.
If a woman says her mind shes a bitch if a guy does hes a strong man and gets respect.
I think alot of woman want to be liberated and feel free to do whatever they want but society has managed to make that impossible. You have to act like a lady and not make waves.
Its too bad that so many ppl think the body is something that needs to be covered up make to seem like its dirty. We can see dead bodies all over the TV these days but god forbid we see a freakin nipple!!...sooooo wrong!
Too many uptight ppl...the body is a beautuful thing and not something evil!

Hi everyone!....and hey madrecinco!....you did it.....starting this thread!.....please come back after your stint in the ICMag pokey.

I know,... what happened to our liberal movement? The 'moral majority' here in the US, or the 'right wing christian front' really pressed hard to fight (go to war) with the right to abortion......for a women to have the right over her own body. Remember they started bombing abortion clinics and killing doctors........violence has injected itself into alot of young folks these days......to a sickness...imo

I am so fortunate to have my women of 17 years with a Healthy attitude towards sex. It's fun, we used to play alot before the doctors removed 'both' her ovaries for fear of her getting cancer.........removing both ovaries was not fair, imo, because her body doesn't produce the hormones that stimulated her sex drive. I have to jump start her drive to get her rolling......plus her 'new hip replacement' has been a challenge for both of us too.

But getting back to the subject matter, in the sixties & seventies the movement was going forward and then it took a reverse backwards. I know the aids scare had alot to do with curtailing all the 'free sex' which at one time was free without worries. Now there is alot of luggage to carry these days for the younger generation.

It's like a breath of fresh air to read Storm's, Mrs.B's, Mrs.Swamp's, and madre's, oh Lola too, healthy attitudes towards sex.

On "Sunday Morning" they had a skit on the Liberal Movement from the sixties and interviewed some actors/actresses from the play "Hair". One girl was asked did it make her 'uncomfortable' to be naked infront of an audience.

She remarked, "It's funny how people in our society (US) are uncomfortable looking at a naked body, but not at looking at pictures of WAR."
