1st Cheese Grow, and few ?s

Hi fellow ICers, this will be my first grow with the Big Buddha Cheese and a few other strains but I'm not new to growing. I used to be a member at Overgrow then I found ICmag been a member for awhile just never posted. I also used to grow back in the day but stopped for several years, til just recently I ordered a 5 fem. pack of the BBC and am about to get back to what I luv doing. I plan on starting these soon with a few other strains and running these outdoors.

My ?s are how many people who have ordered fem 5 packs have found the sativa pheno or at least slightly more sativaish cheese smelling and tasting pheno with no ceiling? Can a few of indica phenos also have the cheese taste or smell with no ceiling? I would thank the sativa pheno would be more cheesey plus have the no ceiling high I'm after. Also I've heard cheese can be a real stinker how far away outside can these plants be smelt? One time I had some bud from Humbolt u could smell down the street unlite. I just would like to hear other growers opinions to these ?s, thank you.

hiya kant!

I obtained my seeds before big buddha had the fem packs available, so I really can't comment about that, but I have had a pretty good female/male ratio in the regular pack.

I believe that I have a sativa dom going on. You can say I live in OG Kush/sour diesel country, but I tell ya, when I break out the cheese, folks love it! There's nothing better than a cheese blunt!

About the smell, when big buddha put out the description about odor control, he was spot on! This shit is dank stanky! There may be other stanky weed, but with the cheese there is NO MISTAKE what this stuff is! You MUST have odor control! Fortunately, I live in a neighborhood where I'm not the only place growing, so it hard to single me out, but even with odor control, I can catch a faint waft of cheese floating around about 20 feet or so away from my house. I planted some jasmine to try to mitigate the smell as well as have a charcoal filter, so that has helped alot.

I do have a thread here and will be updating shortly, so if you wanna see what I have going on, go check it out. I really enjoy this strain. I've fucked some stuff up, but I still manage to pull out some primo smoke. I'm hoping that thru learning from my previous mistake I can do this strain some justice.

Hi shifty, thanks for the quick response. I tried to reply last night but was having problems logging in. Yea I wish I could have got the BBC when they still had the regular seed packs, really wanted a male to make f2s and pollen for a couple crosses I've been planing.

I've been following ur thread about ur cheese grow and I hope this 2nd run is much better for u. That strong smell must have u a little paranoid I take it if u can smell it around the outside of ur house. For me I don't need a charcoal filter as of yet bcuz I'm doing a run with these outdoors but if things go well then I'm switching to a indoor grow for the winter and then i'll need several filters. But if u say they stink like that indoors then I can imagine 1 could smell it outdoors from quite some distance. I'm just hoping hidden over half a mile in the woods is a safe distance for 5 fem cheese plants. The other strains I plan on running don't have me half as worried as this cheese does about odor control. I might plant some lavander or rosemary near them, would these work? Or should I stay old school and drop a dead skunk on a nearby road every once in awhile? LOL Sorry just had to throw that 1 in there.

m.c is on a distinguished road
Hi kant c shyt, A friend of mine got a five pk of bbc fems and set one away 12/12 straight from seed, its now about 11 weeks in and looks like its got about another 3-4 weeks at least left.It didnt show sex until about the fourth week. The plant is quite a size considering its been 12/12 from the start, (about 4 - 4 1/2 foot) but doesnt have that much smell yet to be honest, certainly nothing that will stink the street out, hopefully that will change and it will become more apealing in its later stages anyway hope this helps a bit.

Hi m.c thanks for the reply sorry I took so long to do the same. Sorry to hear about low odor plant. I hope it turns out better for u than anticipated.

So nobody else out of all the BB cheese growers on ICMAG can tell me how their plants turned out? Over a hundred views to just this thread alone but there dozen of threads on cheese with much discussion but I so far have only had 2 ppl kind enough to respond. I know u all can see I've been a member for quite a little while but also that I have an extremely low # of posts reason being after OG shut down I was hesitant for a long time about posting on public forums thats all.

I just would like to know if any of u that have experience with the BBC have found phenos that exhibit both the no ceiling high, plus the taste and smell of the UK cheese? If so was the plant more sativa dom or indica dom looking? Thank you for ur time and replys in advance.

Dude, I wouldn't take it personal...I have only one person who commented on my grow thread. It's cool, though. At least it's not being trolled to death like some of the other threads around here.

Thanks shifty, nah I'm not really upset I just figured that with all the help and such that I got used to seeing on Overgrow that this place was the closest to that. Yea thank GOD that the trolls have stayed under da bridge for now.

Hopefully I get a few more responses but if not I'll just have to report back once the grow is finished. Still getting things ready for the last frost. Take care ONE

I assume you've read my posts in shiftys thread Dude

Of the 2 femmed BB 'Cheese' both were sativa dom, both had really hard nugs, extremely strong buzz, exceptional really ...... smell, none really and certainly no cheese smell

Suits me, nice strong bud with low odour ...... excellent value for money seeds

No ceiling ??? ...... you'll have to ask the guy who passed out and pissed himself after one mighty lung full from the chalice .....
