It's High time I started a journal.
Something to compliment my gallery.

18" x 24" x 48" 250CMH flower chamber
16" x 12" x 12" 23wCFL veg/germ

I have had this box for several years and have growm out some great strains:
Skunk1
Grapefruit
Lifesaver
BigBudxNL
Super Skunk
BB Cheese
Godbud

Most from Gypsy. All under a 150hps until just recently when I upgraded to the 250CMH

Right now I've got 3 BB Cheese at day 46
1 at day 19

and unknown sex of

2 Sam the Skunkaman Haze1 x Skunk freebie
1 bagseed

3 Sensi Skunk1 fem veg 3 weeks
3 BB G Bomb veg 3 weeks

Oh, I almost forgot. There's 2 each CH9 mixed fem in each one of those coldframes (haha) for a total of 6. I love these mixed seeds packages.
Always something interesting!

and that's the State of the Box today.

cheers

GBomb & Skunk#1 to 12/12

doubled up the 6 big girls into 3 pots and stuck them in a corner to get use to their new home (bottom pic, bottom rt hand corner)

3 Cheese are doing well. Maybe 1 - 2 weeks left for them. Only molasses water for them. I can start to see the effects of the 250cmh adding more weight than with the 150hps I just mothballed.

Glad to see I have:
1 Haze x skunk left (bottom left)
1 cheese (seed from fem plant turned out to be fem) (young girl behind fan)
1 bagseed sativa pheno which I had to severely supercrop (hard to see behind the fan).

Temps at canopy height are 82 - 83 deg.

5/6 CH9 mixed fem sprouted and are doing well.

...and that's the state of the box today.

Well those girls are done and relaxing in a jar.

Now in the box that crazy sativa's going wild. The Haze and Cheese are coming along - a little small, but nice. And the Skunks and Gbombs are taking over. Time for some supercropping methinks. Just put in 5 CH9 mixed fem (not pictured). Also germing some CH9 Aroma, Mazar-I-Sherif freebies for next in the box.

CH9 forum closed down due to a dispute of sorts between Pierre & Gypsy so will be posting results here.

Had to chop these mixed fems at 68 days. Still had time to go - probably another 7 - 10 days, but I couldn't wait any more. I needed the space. Overall airy, spindly crop. A dissappointment. We'll try harder next time.

modifications to box in order to drop the temps:

- relocate light trap lower down and relocate 120mm pc fan in front of it to make an active intake.

temps now max out at 83*f. That's 5* lower than previously.

will seal up remaining passive inlets to create more floor space
relocate other pc fan to rear of box.
needs a fresh coat of paint as well.

Also in the box 2 skunk1 and 1 CH9 mixed fem day 16

picture.php

... and 1 G bomb runt at 26 days!
can't figure out what went wrong here.
maybe the pot was too big? don't know.

...and that's the state of the box today..

Added a piece of glass I found in the trash.
Seems to have made all the difference as now the temps never exceed 84deg. Exhaust fan is set to low for no noise. Recirculating fan is angled off the glass for cooling, and to provide indirect air movment to the plants. Added 2 benches for mini - stadium setup. Plants seem happier than ever - less stressed. The new CH9 are cropped just right and not overnuted. I think this box is finally dialed in. :woohoo:
All that's required now is a fresh coat of paint.

seedlings - 2 CH9 mixed fem, 2 Skunk x Haze by Sam the Skunkman - 5 year old freebies of unknown sex. 3 out of 5 didn't germ.

G-Bomb runt - I 've had a couple of runts over the years. I don't know why they would turn out that way. :yoinks:

couple of different phenos here. ready from 54 days :joint:
All hermies though! 3 fucking hermies! How'd that happen?
Maybe from the unusually high temps this summer?

glass under the bulb makes all the difference. Now that the hot weather is finished temps stay around 75 - 79 deg - fabulous! :nanana:

looks good guanito, im just waiting on a cmh 250, did you find it reduced stretch a lot?

I never had a problem with the 150.
I accommodated my cabinet to bigger growth for this bulb.
I'm still working on the "bigger growth" part.
I only had a problem with one plant getting out of control so far.
I like the CMH. With the glass I have no heat issues. I could grow right to the glass if I need to. My main problem is my little veg area.

cheers!
