Sourbubbleryder The moment of truth.
Well, since Im becoming ever more increasingly unhappy with the final product of the seeds I make, Im going to keep trying to get better and better hybrids. Yes, some places (seedbanks/breeders), older and new are sort of leaving me behind in the "over-all" grand screme of things. While Im choosing to perfect 2-3 strains that will equal all other 12/12 strains, but not offer 30-40 different hybrids claiming they are all 'stable" and Im sure wonderful tasting, and every thing else good about it. I really am intrigued with BOGs Sour Bubble, and Ive decided Im going to work extensively with that for now. Lets see how things go, and Im planning new upgrades to Master Low (hopefully by adding Pine Tar Kush Male to the mix), and S_a_H will hopefully be working with bettering a newer version of Power Stout. So there I said it, I hope no one steals my strains (heh, heh...private joke!!). Im starting an entire new Sourbubbleryder grow to see if Ive locked in auto-flowering or not. Updates will be starting very soon.

Having grown some of your SBR I have to say this is an excellent strain that so far has put any other AF's I tried to shame. You don't need a zillion okay strains one or two of perfection is more then enough.

It seems like that is probably the best way to go, it is better to have a few top quality strains then a bunch of mediocre ones. I have personally never tried any of your gear but from what I have seen in pix and read in posts you definitely put out top notch products. Good luck.

I think thats great that youre going to trying out AFing more strains... like you say, see if you got it locked in. I'm sure there can be no disputing the quality of the products already in your line, but trying new things always helps keep motivation going (with anything, I mean). I'm always interested in reading about your current strains and I look forward to hearing about and seeing your new crosses just as much
best wishes j |

I got some really great masterlow around the beginning of 2007, it was what turned me on to autoflowers, and the benchmark for all the ones I try. If you could make them all as good as that, cool. Maybe Masterlow 2.0 would be better.
Powerstout is F all rock solid. There aren't afs out there with the same great profile, or yield. I haven't been able to try bluestreak, and I wait for this new one to get out, but I'm patient. It's good to be dissatisfied with your product. It's kind of like a maturing of thought and process.... a renewed strive for quality. Cool. I hope you'll keep masterlow "short" though. I don't think hybrids or F1s is the way... unless you need excuses for what you're selling. About people stealing your strains... it's amazing how fast people start saying they were doing the same thing THE DAY AFTER you "out" your current projects. Nah, no complaints here. |

The first and most basic plan is just to get the stockpile of PowerStout seeds built up.
After that because it has been so long since I ran any I am going to do a couple seed runs and see if I can spot a more impressive male and female to use. S_a_H

I think one thing I'd really like to see from a reliable breeder is an AF strain that is bred for 2 distinct phenos, 'tall big yielder' and 'short compact', and then bred into stable offspring which will hold true.
you see, sometimes I'd like an AF just for its quick finishing, other times, the low profile is what I'm after. There's always the option of stunting growth on my own, but the two distinct lines would be of great interest to me, especially if they were of comparable final quality
