I'm interested as well. What's the big deal? It's a psychoactive plant, just like cannabis. You don't have to do anything to it other than grow it. No one's talking about extracting alkaloids and converting them into crazy addictive injectables. Even coca is a fairly benign stimulant when you chew it with something alkaline like the native peoples of South America. I've done it. Doesn't compare to manmade stuff.

Besides, cathinone, the active component, breaks down into norephedrine and some other low budget, no fun stimulants a while after cutting the shoots. Not much you can do with it unless you get it fresh.

How long does it take to reach appreciable size and what kind of things can you make with it other than chewing the shoots?

Im growing it ,and have had it since a tiny sprout its about 6 years old ,a hardy plant for sure .I trimmed it hard ,a few days ago.Effects can be noticed from it .But ive never chewed a whole bunch " of it ,the taste is a bit astringent.eeeck and not much like a cheeseburger..I like to add the stems to ice-tea in the summer time.It makes a peppy kinda drink.

I really don't understand the big fuss over this plant. Its Legal in the UK and Europe its sold in the green section of the supermarket. But then again ive never tried Zion's either

The plant is propagated through taking the new rooted shoots at the base of the plant that pop up or fresh seeds................
