Question About Greenhouse Buds
Ok this may be a stupid question, so I apologize in advance. Whenever I see cannabis for sale, whether on the street or in the collective, it's either indoor or outdoor. I have never smoked bud that was grown in a greenhouse and known it.
So my question is does bud from a greenhouse turn out more like indoor or outdoor weed? I know it's still using the sun so I'm sure it's leafy, but it's also in a controlled environment so I'd assume the buds look lighter green and less weathered? Thanks in advance

HOW DARE U ASK SUCH A QUESTION
![]() Just kidding ![]() How your greenhouse bud will look will depend on the harvest date and type of weather. Greenhouse buds look a lot like indoor buds when properly cleaned , but they do have much more leaves. |

If grown and manicured properly, lots of ganja grown outdoors or in a greenhouse wouldn't look very different than indoor. Every year I see people that sell outdoor to clubs as indoor and they don't know the difference. It's the same as on the streets, people make more money off of saying a strain is "indoor" "hydro" etc...
It all really depends on the strain, grower and conditions that growing season. |

Growing in a greenhouse, at least in my experience, will be much like outdoor-- It is because of the fluctuations, sunny/cloudy, and the ever changing seasons--
Indoor you have an absolute 12/12. I know there are many here that can get it more accurate and technical...but that is the gist of it--

Greenhouse bud looks like outdoor to the honest man. It has thicker stems and can be more leafy. It gives you that "commercial high". People in my neighborhood get up to 3500 per pound depending on strain to out of state and Southern California shoppers.

In my opinion outdoor can look poorer than indoor because of the moisture dump it receives each night when dew drops on it, and less than optimal light conditions, possibly from not putting plants in full sun, so they are less visible from neighbors or the air which I think causes more leafiness as the plant is putting out more light catching things like leaves, or poor bud formation being in less than optimal light.
but if your plants are in full sun all day, outdoor or greenhouse, I haven't noticed a difference in plants grown indoor and greenhouse when comparing leafage. I strongly believe it is strain dependant, when it comes to calyx:leaf ratio. If you added a clear roof to the garage you turned into a growroom, does the stuff you grow somehow get worse? |

Up in Redwood Valley past Ukiah where my dealer lives they have hundreds of pounds of greenhouse bud. It comes with names like T5 Durban-Mango, Sour Diesel , Blueberry , Blue Dream, Pineapple Afghani and they have subtle differences in flavor , but it all tastes gritty. Actually in my experience greenhouse bud is only worth smoking in times of severe drought.
