To make that an ideal room.
10x10x8= 800cubic feet Your gonna want to evacuate that twice per min so at least 1600 cfm Your options here are 1-14" or 2-12" exhaust fans. For the perfect environment two fans works best but you can get by with one your temp swing is just a bit more drastic because the 14" at an idle is just a bit to much at night and extra heat is needed in winter. You will need an active intake, another 12" will work, you need to filter this with cheese cloth or appropriate sized heap filter but it cannot be restrictive. Each fan needs its own temp controler Main fan will be set to maintain 77 and idle at lights off Secondary fan will be set to 78 and shut down at lights off Intake will be set to 78, idle on , but on a timer so it shuts off at night This will keep your room at 77-80f as long as I take temps are 60f. When temps are not 60f outside supplemental cooling will be needed, your 12k ac will work for this. You will need a lung room to mix all this air and make it "perfect"before its sucked into the flower room. I the lung room you will need 2 70 pint dehumidifiers to control humudity at night after week 2 flower and any time it's over 70% rh outside If you want it to be "perfect" you will also need 100l foggers but if your on a budget you can go without this for the first run You will want to run at night for temp reasons and humudity reasons, most places power is much cheaper at night too. If you wanted to run in the day you will need supplemental cooling and the fogger for sure , your power bill will be considerably more in the summer but winter will be fine running during the day. Depending on where your at I suppose. The key thing is 60f outside. Remember to oversize your carbon filters so there not restrictive , they work better and last longer Little to no bends in your exhaust lines Try to keep it short,if it's longer than 20 feet use hardline and oversize it by a few inches if possible Make sure you kiddi corrner intake and exhaust and have even air flow everywhere, check with spray bottle for dead spots For power savings my supplemental cooling is water cooled I hooked my intake to a waste water cooler on a irrigation timer so if it's hot out my intake is cooled to 55f for the first hour u til the heat outside dissipates You can set it up a few ways that work but just make sure your mixing your air in the lung room to make it perfect before it enters the grow Veg room - exhaust room size x2 , should t need an active intake on that one, it will just rob a little perfect air from your lung room I would also scale down that room to what you need for space , same rules apply Prolly missed something but I can clear whatever up if u have questions |

The part that is confusing me is the fact that if I'm going to run an AC unit.. pulling air from outside when it's hotter than what I'm trying to cool and pushing the hot air from my room out.. wouldn't that make the AC struggle and keep the AC on all the time??

If your outside temp is above 60f your ac will be on full time yes
That's why it's important to run at night. The ac will only work a couple hours a day in the heat. As it will sit in the lung room programmed for 60f. I can help with Picts if you need me to after this but it's pretty simple Your "lung" room needs to be adjacent to both flower and veg rooms. Or at least the flower room and you could run a 6" duct to the veg room if you had to. Your intake fan , ac,fogger, dehumidifier and resivour will go In. The lung room, all air will be treated there and sucked into the flower room via exhaust fans Same goes for veg but if it's not adjacent just run a 6" duct from veg to lung room and the negative pressure will rob some treated air from your lung room. If you live in the desert and temps don't go below 60f at night then sealed would be better. |

That's why most air exchange rooms suck, people rely on exhaust to control heat and humudity and you simply can't do it when temps are above 60f or humudity it above 70.
You can still do all of the above without ac, but you'll be at the mercy of the outdoors and you will be joining all these high heat threads. Seal it for the summer and get a real ac, but then your power goes way up and I saw your saving electricity thread so that's why I suggested the ladder |

Is your water cheap and cold? You can use it to cool you grow either like we talked about or fully sealed.
