Using the AN calculator (but with other stuff)
Hey, gents. I've got some leftover fertz that I collected when I was a complete noob. (I love to tinker, but the stuff sat around doing nothing because I really didn't understand what it was/does. However, I've got several cycles under my belt now and wonder if I'm using it intelligently.
By the way, my base bloom nutrient is FloraNova. The stuff delivers fine results and is super-easy to work with. I'm well aware that the respected Lucas formula begins and ends with just this one blend, but... that's just way too boring for me to accept. Okay, so I've put the Advanced Nutrients calculator to work but with several other companies products included. Here's the list (and some of what I believe to be the equivalents): GH FloraNova Bloom (Conni A/B) GH FloraBlend Compost Tea (Mother Earth Tea) GH Diamond Nectar (H2) Botanicare Blast Off (B52) Molasses (CarboLoad) Hygrozyme (Sensizyme) various bacteria/mycorhizae (Piranha/Tarantula/Voodoo Juice) Bud Blood Botanicare Hydroplex (Big Bud) Overdrive Botanicare Clearex (Final Phase) Do I have this straight? Is it wise follow the AN calculator with these substitutions? (I don't pay strict attention to proportions.) Please set me straight if my assumptions are incorrect! Everything is working out great, but I'd like to be a bit more proactive about optimizing the line up. Thanks, P.S. I'm growing in hempy buckets (3/4 chunky perlite & 1/4 vermiculite + a layer of 3/4 B'Cuzz coco & 1/4 earthworm castings). |

AN's calc was designed to sell a lot of product. The mix ratios are completely off.
Blast off or superthrive (I love Superthrive!) Floranova Calmg Hydroguard & subculture or Oregonismxl Hydroplex is awsome, but it lacks the L-Aminos Big bud has.. Liquid karma would work better and is much cheaper than diamond nectar Hygrozyme Koolbloom liquid for overdrive. Carboload or black strap mollasses Florablend is an organic vegan tea so it should work No need for clearex, just start flushing with molasses 2 weeks before the chop. Try to keep your PPM under 1300... Or keep it simple! Floranova Hydroplex Diamond nectar since you have it Hydroguard Mollasses Calmg if needed Blast off since you have it.. K.I.S.S |

GH FloraNova Bloom Would compare more to AN SensiOne Bloom,
DM gold would be more like a Conni A/B. |

Damn, I just checked how much it would cost for me to run the sensi 2+ program (level 5 of course) in my room for 1 run (3x 100gal res).
Only $5,500! That is totally fucking disgusting. It costs me less than $150 to run FloraNova Bloom. I knew the shit was a rip but I didn't know they were raping AND torturing people. I promise to leave the AN forum and never come back. Sorry everyone that I interrupted your paradise. Please forgive me.... |

Sounds like it could be used to substitute a few bottles if the concentrate is high enough. The only reason I liked Big Bud was because it was the only product with l aminos and a light pk boost.. |

Ain't that the truth! I'm a professional marketer, myself, and believe that my job is to accurately educate people about their options and to lead them to what they need/want. AN is masterful at promoting their agenda. I admire their skills. However... it seems that they're more self-serving than charitable. (cough cough...for more diplomacy than is likely deserved)

P.S. I do believe that the Overdrive is deserving of some credit, too. |
