if you start an autoflower on 24/7 and switch after 5 weeks,or 12/12 from the jump. what happens? only answer if you have triedit, i already know they are intended for 24

At 5 weeks they'll already will be flowering and 3-4 weeks from finishing not sure why you would want to do it.

Oh and starting them and keeping them at 12/12 would work but you would get a smaller yield

Switching the light cycle (to which I have tried before), wont make a difference, except to hopefully increase your yield.

Going 12/12 on blooming AF - most not show any bad effect.
12/12 from the jump finishes most smaller nuggs,but not losing quality,ending with less crystal only.

And with less hours daily with AF some tend to turn too vegglike stretching more stems and leaves than strictly blooming them.
Its the cycle 11lit/13dark that proved does better than 12/12 up to 18+hrs daily.
Been cycling 22lit/2dark daily for months ,AF likes to bloom under this cycle any day... 18hrs to 21hrs daily just limits AF to less sunny days everyday.

I don't think the yeild will be that much smaller...at least from what I am seeing. it will Just take probably 1 or 2 weeks longer if thrown into 12/12 at 5 weeks. So instead of 9 weeks expect to finish at 10/11 or so.

Some AF's under 12/12,not all, will delve into the nonAF traits and finish with lovely flavour/biggerbuds after more blooming weeks+feedings,instead of usually showing yellowing finishing stage sooner....them ones get a jar just for them !...rarer.

I've done it, from about week 6-7 on most AF's won't skip a beat, Lumenous proved it many times on HB but settled on 13/11 or something close I think.

The traits that shows most is......stretching ,larger leaving....in the same time as blooms fill in well with more light cycle.
