2/10 popped. What??

I bought a pack of BlueRyder from attitude seed bank company and only 2/10 have popped. It has been 12 days since I germed them in papertowels. pH 6.8

With other seeds I have had an average of 95% germ rate with my method. Ugh

Sorry to hear that. I just pulled down 7 of those the other day and didn't have any problems that I can remember.

Is anyone else out there having problems with these ?

I never heard of that seed bank where are they located ?

Yeah I found them through google....

Please understand since I do not know you and don't mean for this to sound like I am talking down to you but.

I take it the temps were ok and they were moist the whole time. Do you use a heating mat or just someplace warm.

Would you say the seeds were on the small size ? How developed were they ?

Don't worry about it. I understand your questioning.

Basically I used the method I always have. I get a plate, 2 sheets of paper towel and a plastic baggie. I moisten up the paper towels until they are damp but not soaking (not too much, not too little). I then sprinkle the seeds and wrap them up, place them on the plate and in the baggie. I take this baggie and put it on my desk.

I have honestly gotten about a 95% germ rate until this batch. I would say they were smaller than average but I know when a seed is underdeveloped (white, green).

I too like the papertowel method. This way I am not poking around in the soil to confirm germination.

When making the seeds, I find that if I let my autoflower seeds set for too long they tend to develop thick shells and germinate slower, but the seedlings are slightly bigger.

I have had to wait up to two weeks for the excessively hard shelled ones to crack when planted directly in the soil.

Well, let me tell you, I just dropped 30 seeds, in soil and 30 of 30. Two months ago, I dropped 20, and all 20 germed. You are the very first one that I heard of having germing issues with Blueryder.

These Blueryder do not have thick shells, and I get absolute stellar germination.
