DUMPSTER WEED! saved plant project/first grow

my friend threw away some plants that werent doing so amazing..
LUCKILY he dumped the plants out of the pots soil still intact so they werent dead! i took them home and spent next to nothing and used what i had..
both plants were lucky to be alive and had obvious issues. one survived
in the end put here are pics from the start

PS!!! notice in newer pics i took while in natural sunlight..
top leaves are so dark green they are almost blue/green?
and on fan leaves[in center where the leafs start/separate]
is purplish?? is this usual or did i get lucky?

i just bought a 4way soil analyzer [measures soil pH, moisture content, fertilizer content, and sunlight]

pretty neat for $20 and i bet will definatly pay off in having! still no hps yet.. =[

any flowering nutes you could suggest that would increase my yeild the most?!

Sup dj nice find whats is the plants genetics?? for nutrents i would use foxfarm big bloom and tiger bloom for flower just start off light on dossege

I GOT MY 150W!! it didnt have a power cord tho!!
i just spent an extra ten bucks and got one at home depot..
its looks extra ugly with the ducttape but it works
and no wires are held together with just tape..not totally retarted lol
AND bought some new stuff..just cus i wanted to upgrade
heres my pricing list and pics:

i bought a wire like this [minus the female end, 9']-$7

it only had three wires that matched the light [black/white/green]
i connected the wires of the light and plug/wire with wiring sleeves[$1

they are rubber insulated with metal insides
and then i sealed all the wires/sleeves up with duct tape so it doesnt move around
..and everything works! my ghetto 150w hps!

i also bought 3 mylar emergency blankets on ebay for- $7!
which is a great deal considering walmart has been sold out
for over a week and cost $1.96 a piece then add tax..
then i bought the foxfarm trio pack for- $43.77

ALL OF THIS FOR A [APPROX.]TOTAL OF:$90.27

that should be enough money for awhile im hoping!

Woot, a 150HPS is gonna be like a little piece of the sun in there for ya. Should be fun watching it respond to the new light. I bet this girl rewards you with some great nugs. How are the temps now that you have the 150 in there?

i JUSTTTT wired it in enough time before work to fit in a bowl =P
and i had to work late so i had to have my room mate turn
off the light for me since im flowering so i didnt get to check..
he said it was 78 but hes not the brightest crayon ya know? hoping hes right!
i have a total of 3 temp gauges now so ima put them to good use!
i just need to get some more light at the bottom of my canopy

the new light i bought..hope it gets here next week =D

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!
My new 150W hps shot temps in the room from
the mid-high 70s to the mid-high 80s
but it is also warmer than its usually been outside/inside overall because warming up outside but what ways do u suggest i keep temps down?
i have two fans blowing the hell out of the air to try and cool it off so...
ANYTHING PLEASE?!

current pics...now u can see what i mean and better help troubleshoot..
and once again..no holes in the wall
and the fan in the bottom of the closet was just for the emergency that temps were at 90 and i cant have it in there all the time..its too big and hella noisy

is there anyway i can use what i have as an exhaust?

the reason i bought the hps is so i could turn my flowering box into a vegbox!

im going to be covering the insides with the emergency blankets i bought
and i want to have a shoplight on eachside (L/R) and maybe on the backside
and then put a box or something in the middle as a shelf to hold all the plants

this is what i have vegging now..a hopeful clone and sprout
ive never cloned in a peat pellet so im just testing this out under this red tub for now

heey everyone! i think the hot days is whats making such a huge difference..
i took the therm. out of the closet and the room was freakin 80 degrees anyways!
the heater has been on all day wtf?! but now the ac is on and temps wont go over 83
=D happy day..or night mostly!

more updates: flowering since 1/25 TWO WEEKS ON SUNDAY =]!











first full day under the hps..i think she likes it =D

temps are at 78 now! =] i love the colder weather! just leavin the window open does wonders

nice, 78 is perfect, they look great and the nugs are forming already.
