Too Large Image Problem for Guests! - Announcements - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I just found out that guests did not have their images compressed when they uploaded them in the past week. So anyone who posted up a few big images have run out of storage already.

I'm going to try to fix this by automatically resizing the images...

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The max image size for Guests is 800 x 800, 150K. All images will be resized to meet these limits.

Anyone not wanting to deal with these limits can donate to the site and have their limits raised. More about that soon...

Cool, I was wondering about that. I remember putting pics up a long time ago, and it worked just fine without me having to resize them, but since the upgrade they come out huge, so I've been sizing them to 800x600. But really, not having to resize all my pics before posting here is one of the things that made me pick this site over some others. Thanks for noticing this and trying to remedy it.

p.s. How/when do I become a member? I've been here a long time, but took a long break and don't post as much as most. Thanks again.

Unfortunately the fix I found only resizes the images upon viewing, not on the server. So the problem still exists for guests until they become members. So if you can't upload more photos, delete & reupload the ones that are too large.

That happened to me as well. posted some huge pics but I edited it and managed to size them down
