Traditional german cake with a strong taste of apple and cinnamon, Apfelbutterkuchen.

It's a white/yellow colored cake with a sugar/apple crust thing on top, the woman makes it pretty often, I like it a lot.

We have something just like that here in the UK. I think it's called Eve's Pudding. You can make it with pears also.

It's nice with lashings of custard mmmmmmm

yeah, no one does cakes like the germans...except maybe the dutch. one thing i really miss from the NL is these little cakes/cookies with an almond on top of them. really buttery and sweet.
