Help me pick...

High gang.
I see that theres fresh gear from Buck @ the bay, and im trying to decide between the YummyD and the Triesel. Its kinda hard to dig up any real info like growth patterns and smoke testing. So thats why i hope that Buck sees this and gives me the 411 on both.
Im going to grow these in a organic soil bed, SOG style with very little veg time. Which do you think is better suited for these conditions? Also which one has a more narcotic stone?
Hope Buck or any of yall can help me out.

Stay Safe

Hello GDK.
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.

The Yummy D's are going to give you a more narcotic effect and Triesel is much more of a uplifting cerebral effect. Both strains have been tested using only a 2 week veg period and both did well vegging under 96watt T-5s. The Yummy D's have a shorter flowering period and yield a little bit less than Triesel. Both should do well using an organic based SOG method and neither require heavy feeding regiments. Both strains clone easily (12-14 days using Rapid Rooters/Rockwool or a soil/organic based medium or in as little as 7-10 days if using a aerocloner.)

Love to all.
Buck

annaC, have some yummyd on the way but hard not to want to order a pack of the Triesel. Just curious about the NYCD you used, if there's anything special about that part of it. Is that by chance Soma's NYCD or a special cut you had and liked?

Thanks.

Hello VirginHarvester
The NYCD is from Soma's seed stock. 1 male was chosen from 30 NYCD plants. The same NYCD male was also used to pollinate Rezdogs Strawberry Diesel strain in which he gifted to me in seed form back in 06 and I released it as a "Strawberry Diesel x NYCD" cross. I grew out several of the Strawberry x NYCDs and chose only 1 mother. The STD x NYCD mother was then pollinated using Rezdogs Alpha Diesel male and released as "Triesel".
The same Alpha Diesel male was used to create ELE (NYCD f2 grapefruit Pheno x Alpha Diesel) and the Yummy D's as well (Yumbolt f2 x Alpha Diesel).

The NYCD f2 Grapefruit Pheno.
C
lones were taken from this pheno and one clone was used to create ELE (NYCD grapefruit Pheno x Alpha Diesel)

I did have some nice photos of Triesel and the Yummy D's test subjects but I lost them last September due to a hard drive failure.

Love to all.
Buck

Hi Buck,

I would like to personally thank and commend you for what you do. Just grabbed some Triesel and Yummy D's and I know of nowhere else one can get their hands on genetics like this for $2/seed. You truly rock, sir.

I have some questions that I hope you don't mind answering about these strains:

As far as the Triesel goes, what are the rough odds of finding a decent strawberry pheno, if at all? (I've been after Strawberry Cough genetics since I saw Children of Men)

Any precautions/gotchas to be aware of growing outdoors (I'm guessing you're mostly indoor given the hydro references, but I could be wrong)?

Do you recall the general stretch in either of these strains?

What are your recommendations on 'topping' to produce bushier plants?

Sorry for the inquisition, hope it's not too much trouble.

Hello Lt. Herb
Thank you for the kind words and for your support.

About the Triesel.....
I would tend to believe that it's going to be extremely hard to find that golden Strawberry cough pheno. You are more likely going to find a Strawberry Diesel x NYCD Pheno.

I don't see any problems in growing Triesel outdoors as long as you leave yourself a warm climate and at least 75-85 days of flowering time.

Triesel does like to stretch a bit more than the Yummy D's and growing Triesel outdoors for the whole duration will most likely give you a pretty tall plant.
There are many variables when growing outdoors and the overall size will depend on several factors.
1.How far into the OD growing season before you start?
2.The amount of time it's in the veg state.
3. Letting it flower on it's own or if you force the flowering period.

If you decide to top the plant then you will definitely have a bush on your hands and once again there are a few variables to the equation and the plants overall density depends on where you top it at and how many times you top it. Just make sure you don't take to many cuttings and leave the plant so bushy that the sunlight cannot penetrate down to the lower regions of the plant.

NYCD F2 topped 10 times.

Please feel free to call on me anytime.
Love to all.
Buck
