Keep it simple and remeber its a plant mate...

I plant seeds directly on top of moist soil(water soil before add seeds) cover them in a dome and wait 24 hrs, i then push the seeds into the soil(VERY VERY GENTLY) the moment the tap root shows, planting deep all the way to the neck...

I do the paper towel method. I drench it in 10 drop/gal. superthrive water ring it out a little and put the seeds in it. I then fold it up and put in a big thick cup. I then place another cup inside it and set it on my aquarium CFLs. Usually in 24 hrs I will have tap roots. After that they go into a 60/40 coco/perlite mix and they are still watered with the 10x superthrive water. I usually keep them off fertilizers until they develope into plants. :smile:

with all due respect Growdoc, I don't agree with your method. Awfully risky to push a seed with a tap root showing under the soil. The tap roots are not smooth as they may appear to the naked eye, and you will damage the microscopic filaments on the root. That is if you don't break it first.

Also, in your pic above you don't have the seeds separate. First fundamental of cultivation - one seed to each pot. :wink:

U lookin' good Doc, nice method (i tend 2 plant more than1 per pot it saves me Time,electricity & space also to eliminate the stragglers and u have a better chance of finding & keeping only the most healthy seedlings but to each his own)they are poppin' up nicely Growdoc.Looks like they are happy to me. You and i know that i have opend up a box of worms with this post, lots of people are going to have lots to say about all kinds of methods.

I have over 14years experience in growing plants and have tried all kinds of methods back and forth... what i am showing is the simpest way that i have found so far.
