So i'll be visiting my girlfriend in Germany in March. She got a job out in the Frankfurt area. She suggested visiting Amsterdam since it's not that far cuz she knows i'm into weed smoking/growing etc.

So i've been super excited planning this trip and watching youtube videos of Germany and Amsterdam. I was planning on going down the Romantic Road to Munich for the Strong Beer Festival, seeing the castles, then coming back up and going to Amsterdam.

The thing is that I'll only be there for a week. We'll only be able to be in Amsterdam for 1 night, 1 day, and I fly out the next morning.

Looking at the prices for staying in Amsterdam, plus parking, bike rental, eating, weed, attractions and we wont even be there very long. I'm thinking about nixing the Amsterdam part of the trip.

Is it really that cool? I hear that a lot of the weed is about the same as weed we get here (USA) and you could get some not so good stuff. I grow Lifesaver and African Durban Poison. I get AK47 and Norhtern Lights from friends. It seems like the weed is good there but is it worth the cost of a trip for the novelty of being able to buy it in a store?

Another downside is my gf doesn't smoke because her job is in the legal field and they test randomly. So I don't know if she'll even be able to go into coffeeshops with me or what if it's real smoky.


Sooo is it something I should definitely not miss while being up there? Or would Frankfurt, Munich, Beer Fest, and castles be enough?


If it is really that good, I will go. I've already been researching coffeshops, sights, hotels, etc haha

I am a local from german how travel every 2-3 Month from Nürnberg to Amsterdam....Yes u need to trip to Amsterdam......Is a difference world.....Amsterdam is so nice....
U will find some real potent stuff.....
I travele allways with the bus(eurolines..Touring) about 90€ round-trip ticket and without cops ;-)
We buy us ervery time a nice collection of A-Dam finest.....
The best stuff(potent and pricees are nice) u will find a the Damkring....there are 3 Dampkrings...theDampkring...Tw eete Karma...Umma Gumma they got realy(expert knowledge from about 50trips) and allso the Barneys(quite expencive) and the GHSshops are a viste worth...but check out Umma Gumma the niceset shop....

Yeah the city does look really cool. I'm really big into food. That's my main form of exploration. It looks like they have all kinds of good international food there and street food.

I was just trying to justify the cost. I like the bus idea buddah! That sounds like a pretty good price. I looked at taking the train and it was wayyy more expensive than I expected. When I went to Korea we could take the train all day for like $5. A train ticket for an equivalent 1.5 hour drive was only $2 there.

We were planning on driving and parking on the outside of town for the 6euro/day at first. Then rent some bicycles.

Thanks for the hash tip Sky. I've never tried it so I guess I'll have to give it a shot. I don't even know what a good way to smoke it would be haha. Pipe with screen? I don't really smoke tobacco.

I was thinking of buying at Styx then stopping by Dampkring, Barney's, or whatever else I see to smoke and chill. Trying to get a good deal on the weed lol.


Looking forward to trying some good Indonesian food and street food. Gonna try to find a DimSum place. Probably go by that one food marketplace area.

Probably will check out Vondelpark. I want to see the Keukenhof and Van Gogh museum but I don't know if we'll have time.

You guys know how late the coffeeshops stay open?

I may check them the first night so I'll have time to see the sights the next day.

I got to say,,, being a medical patient from CA and growing my own cannabis,, the quality in most coffesshops was FAR BELOW what I normally medicate on,,, not to mention with exchange rate and rising herb prices, I was paying $14-22 EURO per gram (($17-25 USD)). This was back in Nov.07 so im sure it has probaly leveled of a little better,, hopefully?

But its always a great trip,, lot of really cool people in that town and there is some great smoke if you can find it. If your going to be in Germany, it is worth the few hours to go there.

And some larger coffeeshops have air filtration,, and some are just never too smokey,, so im sure if your gurl wanted to,, you could both find a spot to hang out at without worrying about her consumption.

Hey,

spending just a day in adam will be quite tiring, usually it takes me at least one day to get used to intense smoking ^^...
If you don't smoke much, i would reckon to choose really carefully the herb you buy, at least...Enjoy the haze choice, i would say at least try one like the amnesia,neville,OTm SSH or any good haze... It will help you riding your bike around and enjoying the city.

For me, imported hash is the most enjoyable part of the dam, so nice... dampkring or tweede karmer for the rifman hash, and look for the red lebanese... u can smoke it with a pipe with or without a screen, which u can borrow in most coffee shop. But you need to be quite a heavy smoker as it can be really intense Bubble hash can be worth it, or dry sieve, but really expensive (40E/g), overprice compared to some imported IMO.

I would say : Go to the tweede karmer, ask the dealer and explain to him that you want to try one hell of a tasty hash cause you never smoked some before, and enjoy the ride.. best choice in adam for hash.

If i remember well coffeeshops close at 1, and noway after u can buy anything, really strict policy.
Grey Area, Damprking, Greenhouse, Barneys, you ll have all the choice you need... So don t buy everything in the first you visit... Ask to smell and see, and maybe if the dealer has any really impressive batch, because stock quality seems to change from day to day...

Dampkring has a bargain menu with jack ,Nycd and others for 6 euro.I bought the diesel several times as it was my second favorite smoke on that trip and def the best deal..well cured and great grapefruit flavor .their mexi haze was real good and dif from most adam hazes.
