Hello.
Have some DD vegging now, ready to go to flower.
Found a "reverse hermaphrodite" ( male to female) amongst the boys.
Does this have any value, or should it be trashed?

I found in motavation a "reverse hermaphrodite" (male ---> female) .... thrown in the trash ..... lol .....

I picked clones of the female mota to 4-5 week to bloom .... did not give signs of sexual inversion ...

According to all I have read in regards to males sporting female flowers, this is a good way to determine mostly female offspring in crosses with this kind of male. Very interesting observation either way. I have only see this one time in over 10 years of growing.

If I were you, I would try to cross Him/Her with something you like-- sounds like a winner to me!!.

This is what DJ Short says about reverse hermaphrodites.

"Backward" hermaphrodites are declared males that eventually sport female flowers (as opposed to the usual female-to-male hermaphrodites). These are rare occurrences, usually sterile but sometimes viable, that I found to be genetically valuable. Many resinous and desirable males exhibit this trait, which almost guarantees against unwanted hermaphroditism in subsequent generations as it also increases the female-to-male ratio in its progeny.

I hope this helps. I was lucky enough to find a reverse hermaphrodite in a pack of DJ's F-13. I'm not sure if it's viable, alot of the F-13 males turn out to be sterile. Only time will tell I guess.

Vertical Blumat grow Blumat adjustment procedure: (for soil)In a bucket ,fill and soak units under water for at LEAST an hour. Then screw on cap( nice and tight!) under water making sure not to trap any air. *Leave dripper line at ~8cm. long.* Give the pot a good watering. Insert B/M snugly into nicely compacted soil(not too loose) . Open till water comes out, carefully close until just a drop barely forms.
