Brisket!!!

So I've been craving Barbecue for a few years now, and last night I finally decided to make something close to it. We happened to have a 6lb brisket in the freezer, so I thawed it out and did the following:

-Rubbed both sides with Emeril's "Rib Rub". I chose this because I wanted more bbq and less "steak" flavor.
-Baked in roasting pan, uncovered for 1 hour on 350.
-Took out brisket and added a can of (condensed) campbell's beef vegetable soup because I couldn't find beef stock.
-Added about 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of chivas(because I felt like it), and a couple tbsp of liquid smoke(hickory).
-Baked, covered, for 3 hours on 300.

I trimmed the fat off, carved it up, reduced the liquid a little, and added the rest of the liquid to the carved brisket. Put it back in the oven for about 15 minutes on 400.

There are about a million things you could've done differently to achieve close to the same result, but I would just like to say that the result was awesome considering it was a pretty fake bbq dish. I think next time I'll spend more time planning out my sauce and I'll probably go another hour or 2 on 275 instead of 300. I can't wait to go back to the States(specifically, Texas) to get some good bbq.

Shit man you don't need the states to get good BBQ.

You can build a smoker wherever you are.

It is simple.

Just build a small contained space in which you control the temperature and humidity.

Sounds like something a lot of us do quite often for medicine cultivation.

In comparison to keeping a grow room going, having a smoker is retarded easy.

Then you can get into the hard shit like curing meats (prosciutto, salami, guanciale,...)

With the same amount of effort you could have built a balcony smoker to make bomb BBQ all the time.

I also like scotch on my meat
