I have a question/request.

I would like to know if there is a user choice option that allows a member to block the reading of their posts/threads from non-members. I know non members can surf the site and pretty much read anything posted by members.

Would be really nice and for me and am sure others would agree if we as members could have a profile option that restricted the general public from reading our posts if they are not a authorized member of the site.

Make sense? If not I will elaborate.

well yes and no
we want the site open to people to read even if there not members as some people are too paranoid to join
but it is possible to make certain forums private to members only, simmilar to the subscribers forum idea

and yes it is a valid point you raise and I can see where your coming from
but it would be site wide and not just an option for members to choose

The reason I chose IC over other forums is because no such restrictions exist here. Please, say no "member's only."

I appreciate your answer OP and I do understand the your reasoning behind wanting a open and unrestricted forum FreezerBoy. I was just inquiring on a personal level out of my own curiosity for knowledge. I believe in that also. Nothing more annoying than restrictions on a open forum.
