I have been watching everyone's test grows from Cannacopia. The beans were a little small shaped unusual but under a heater on a plate in some MOIST, yet breathable paper towels they all sprouted taproots overnight???? Usually it takes me about I would say 3 days 2? Well I guess they are off to a promising start. They are all in a mixed soil, under domes and waiting to break soil. Thanks heaps for all that have shared, thier techniques as well as views.

Okay here are two pictures, umm they are just breaking the surface right now I am running temps around 75-80 is 80 a little to warm with humidity domes? I have read that excessive heat can cause more males? Thanks

Here are some pictures of the seedlings, sorry for the bad shots but I need to go out and buy a close up lens when I can get the funds all sorted out.

I can't wait to start hearing the smoke reports from the test grows. All of their crosses have excellent mommies. Was hearing from someone who in touch with the Canna-guys and he told me they are legit and connected to have the mom's they claim, not to mention they have a pic gallery of their moms on another board. I bet that magnum turns out to be something of a beast. One early smoke report on the Lapis Mountain Indica showed it to be a little startling with its powerful effects and I imagine the Magnum is going to be also. I'm waiting to hear about Roadkill and Genius smoke reports just because I think Genius is probably a bit of a smart-drug type and crossed with DC should be nice. I imagine with all their strains it's ultimately about pheno selection and you'll find plants that lean way to the moms.

My question about making f2s would be how to pick a male that exhibits the traits of the mom... unless you've grown the mother strain before, how would you know which male pheno exhibits traits of the mother plant?

Id use sevral of the best males or all of them....open pollinate so as not to lose any thing.

how do you see that the males are the best , w/o progeny testing against a prooven female ?

thats the only way to insure that you have all the choices possible in the next generation , but be sure to plant about 50 of the f2 .... , just to insure a proper selection here ...
