One part for a base nute?
I am trying to figure out what my nute defeciency is, and just had a new hypothesis.
I'm using the plus program, but for a base nutrient I am using GH floranova. could this be causing this deficiency since it is meant to be used as a one part? I have been mixing the an additives to half of the target ppm, and raising the rest with the flora nova. I dont want to buy more nutes, but I do have the regular GH 3 part stuff. should I use that instead? |

FloraNova is 100% fine by itself. However, it's fine to use it along with additives. In fact, that's exactly what I do using the AN calculator as a basic recipe/guide. Your issues are certainly tied to your ratios. Just 1/2 nutes + 1/2 extras is a baaaad idea. I'd say the mix should be more like 3/4 FloraNova + 1/4 other stuff.
Clearly, your plant is experiencing a nitrogen deficiency. Up top maybe there's a magnesium issue, too? It's hard to tell because your top picture is blurry. (The bottom two are way to dark to discern anything.) My advice is to use ONLY the FloraNova at appropriate strength until the symptoms clear up. Only after getting the plant back to normal should you start experimenting with anything else. Keep in mind that the organic supplements won't get you into trouble very easily. Incorrectly applied salts, however, will throw things off quickly and significantly. |

Wait ... are you shaking that FNG up real good ? .... the cap says shake vigorously and they mean it ... it's way thick and if it isn't mixed thoroughly it could be an issue.

True that WH, that's half the reason I gave up on FNB... I don't have the muscle to shake it hard to fully mix without diluting. Great stuff IMO...

It's Funny that you asked ... Her ONLY stipulation was that I would never post her pic at "That weed site" ...
