Just about to book, but I want to be sure that I can smoke in my room, so if anyone has confirmed info about hotels/hostels where you can still smoke, please let me know.

These will get harder and harder to find, and soon enough it will be illegal to smoke in any hotel room.

But that is why coffeeshops exist. i dont get this fixation with needing to puff in your hotel room. Boring! And beware setting off a smoking alarm can be very pricey in Amsterdam.

you're likely better off renting an apartment.

Pretty sure weed smoke won't set off a fire alarm... but boring... yes... at least if you are walking around you can check out some hookers or something

but if you feel like making a 800€ donation to the amsterdam fire dept , go ahead and test it.

in bob`s youth hostel it is still allowed to smoke weed (no tabacco) in the lobby, but not in the rooms.
Next to Bob`s there is Tamaras, which is nearly as cheap as bobs, but the rooms are a little rotten. The guy at the counter is nice english guy, and unofficialy it`s allowed to smoke in your room.
