I've been lurking on this forum for some time now and have never posted before, but I guess now's my time to chime in. I have done several very successful grows before and have always used home built "tents" except for a small 3'x3' tent I purchased from HTG almost 2 years ago(no problems with this one). I recently moved and decided that I would buy one of the new 4'x4' habitat tents(10/11/2008) so I wouldn't have to keep building new grow rooms when my lease was up. Well I veg my plants in my 3'x3' and they were looking marvelous, I had 7 sensi seeds afghani plants ready for flower so I set y new shiny tent up and put them in, after just a few days they started to get the gassing symptoms but at this time I didnt even know something like this was possible. I started adjusting nutes looking for a problem, and even purchased a $300 ppm/ph/temp meter to try and figure out what the hell was going on. No matter what I did for the plants they seemed to look worse and worse, until eventually they completely turned light yellow and died off. They were almost 3' tall each when they went into flowering, and by the time they died off and drooped they were around 2'. I grew another veg batch in the meantime and put them in about 2 weeks ago, and started over. When the problems repeated themselves I started scrambling for a solution. I changed everything from my water source, to the brand of nutes I use to no avail, when I randomly stumbled upon this sticky in a last desperate attempt at help before losing another complete batch. As they stand now they look like they've received a moderate nute burn but nothing that they shouldnt recover from as its still early in the flowering process. I contacted Hydrohut and they referred me to my supplier which is going to take care of the tent for me. After reading this a couple hours ago I went and tore down the whole tent and reducted everything etc, just to get my ladies out of there. Thanks so much guys for stickying this thread as this was the last place I was going to look before pretty much giving up and going back to soil, which of course wouldnt have made a difference since it was the tent in the first place. I just realized that I'm rambling but I'm just so damn relived that I found this sticky

if you are in any hut and your veg stage is stable then it ain't the tent
why this turned into a rehash of old useless info is a wonder... ill admit i am amused by it


are you in soil?
are you using RO Water?
what nutes are you using??
how many days into flower are you???



i would say that is it all likely that when you moved into flowing your plants sucked up nutes that were needed and are now using more . if you are getting yellowing i would start with "N" flowering sucks Nitrogen if this is the case get your self some worm castings gives back N without overloading in flower.

as for the entire hut fiasco?
ya it happened and not just to Hydrohuts lots of companies got caught in the fray some were more honest then others about it.

as for me i simply took a step back and got myself a big ass roll of panda film
and waited it out!

oh and by the way My buddy first turned me on to huts he has an older Hydrohut and it works 100% his buds are sweet! it is an older tent with white plastic inside. no issues what so ever so i suspect the issue was intermittent.

I myself just picked up a new Hydro hut and the thing is pretty killer if you ask me. i even did a review of it on my page. i think i am gonna grab a smaller one for my mothers.
