Feminizing an Autoflower

hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with feminizing an Autoflowering strain with Colloidal Silver. The strain that I’m going to try to feminize is Masterlow from Mdanzig seeds. When do you think the best time to start spraying with Colloidal Silver is?
thanks
BT

masterlow

Start spraying them from there 2nd week through to 2-3 weeks into bloom, and that should produce enough pollen to self-pollenate that masterlow or use the pollen on a different masterlow female which will be your best plan of attack.

when working with mixed f/m AFs, can you just spray all the plant at 2-3 weeks and still be able to identify the females from the males early enough so that you can make sure the males don't pollinate anything?

i'm planning on running 30 AFs and making fem seeds from them. Thats going to mean approx 12-15 female seeds, depending on m/f ration and germ rates.

Right now, the plan is get some silver wire and make myself some colloidal silver. Spray 6 plants, hope that between 2 and 4 end up being female. THis will give me 2-4 pollinators/fake dads and 8-13 mothers. Hopefully 250 seeds per plant. I think I got 300 on an 8inch lowryder finished in cold a couple years ago.
That 250 per plant would give me a nice number to work with for some time.

If seeds arrive:
10x auto ak
10x auto ak x hindu kush
10x auto ak x nycd

I wanted to source my stuff from mdanzig but hes out of everything AFing on seedbay and he's sold out or close to it the other places I go. I'll get some AFs from you on your next release mdanzig.

I'm going to be looking for the taller phenos of the seeds in the auto ak x nycd. I'm hoping to get some 3ft or 4t tall 3-4oz phenos that still finish in 12weeks or less.

I am sure I'll get a vast selection of f2's no matter what.

On second thought, I think I'm going to select one or two mothers from each cross by spraying CS on three plants from each cross.

anyway, long post...........a little lifted

sorry bout the hijack

be well all

hey, remember to start the plants that your going to reverse a little earlier than the ones your are going to pollinate, to ensure that the females have time to create pollen.

Also, 250 seeds per plant is a very modest guess, ive seen a well taken care of AF produce over 1000 seeds.

Natrually I am going to be using the largest phenos for my fem'd seeds, if i only had one large pheno, would you use CS on it, or would you use CS on one of my other less desirable phenos,basically...

Should the best pheno be creating the pollen or recieving it?

thanks

Can you buy feminized auto flower seeds and make your own feminized autoflower seeds from these ? I wonder if they would all auto flower ? I have heard that it's hard to reproduce your own seeds from autoflowering strains that behave like the originals. Has anyone tried both coloidal silver and STS, I have used both and STS seems to work better.

I did this with red poison to great success. I'm wondering what happens when you spray one strain and pollinate another. I know it will be unstable buuuuut... for that first generation of seeds it should work right?

Seven years old, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Technology has moved quite a bit in that time. The AF's being tried for were three to four foot plants that would yield three to four ounces.

I bought a dozen four footer's from a seed bank and it is looking to put out five to six ounces.
Six foot AF's were advertised.

Advances in feminizing have been made as well.

Thought I would respond as what these poster's were trying for has been accomplished. Fairly recently from what I hear as disbelief was expressed over the existence of stable two meter plants that autoflower every time.

Soon...soon, it will be DIY for average guys like me to make autoflowers.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
