I wanna learn EVERYTHING about "tea"
ive been drinking tea off and on the past few years.
i always hated tea as a kid, but never knew about its medicinal qualities. i started to drink tea when i quit drinking LQ a cpl yrs ago, and then i started to drink LQ a bit more again, but not a whole bunch like i once did. anyway...i think it would be good for me to know all i can about tea, and herbs, concoctions (recipies)....etc... so basicly im looking for any website for bulk herbs or book recomendations on the topic (not simple books...im taking about extensive big book stuff). "nikijad" had sum good stuff a while back on here...but i cant find it anymore. i know we have a few tea drinkers here who can help me ![]() im especially interested in "anxiety relief", and sleep/dreams......i dont need caffeine or "pick-me-up" ....i have plenty of energy OTC stuff ive liked are "tension tamer" CC---and "sleepy time"--CC thanks for any advice

good topic bro. i dont really like tea but it interests me. tea is becoming quite popular in cannada and it was predicted that within 10 years there will be so many tea houses in cannada that it will give tim hortons a run for their money. what i find most interesting is the different blends and teas from different regions of the world. almost like our favorite plant

health wise you cant beat green tea. i drink two cups a day, first thing in the morning, and around 3 when my eyelids tend to get heavy. wakes me up cleans my system, supports my immune system, prevents cancer etc.

the "sleepy time" you are referring to was likely chamomile tea. i personally like chamomile, nice, mild flavour, but it doesnt hold a candle to good old cannabis for relaxation purposes. another one i REALLY like is rooibus tea. tastes exactly like the regular old black tea that we all know, but it contains no caffeine .

If you're looking for the sickest tea....check out "Republic of Tea" Honeydew Melon White tea:
https://www.republicoftea.com/templat....asp?navID=299 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_t...ealth_benefits Just Wiki FYI: White tea compared to green tea A study at Pace University in 2004 showed white tea had more anti-viral and anti-bacterial qualities than green tea. [5] White tea contains higher catechin levels than green tea due to its lack of processing. [6] Catechin concentration is greatest in fresh, unbroken and unfermented tea leaves. [7] Furthermore, one study examining the composition of brewed green and white teas found that white tea contained more gallic acid and theobromine. [8] As the white tea is made out of young leaves and buds, which is said to contain more of the amino acid theanine (has relaxing and mood enhancing properties) than green and black teas which is made out of older leaves. Caffeine content of green and white teas are similar, though both depend on factors such as the variety of tea, the cut and of the leaf, and the length and method of steeping. White tea contains less fluoride than green tea, since it is made from young leaves only. [9]

Almost always have a nice cup of Earl Grey when I wake up or through the day, then the Rooibos at night like green_grow, i find it has a really 'warm' taste, although I'm sure I put too much milk in everything
I also love this tea anecdote.... While staying with the Rothschild family at their home in Waddesdon, Prime Minister Herbert Asquith was waited upon one day by a butler; the following conversation ensued: "Tea, coffee or a peach from off the wall, sir?" "Tea, please." "China, Indian or Ceylon, sir?" "China, please." "Lemon, milk or cream, sir?" "Milk, please." "Jersey, Hereford or Shorthorn, sir?"

I like a lot of different teas. Green tea, chrysanthemum, ginseng, jasmine etc. But, I like the tea my mom makes the most. I don't even know if its tea or not because i dont see any tea leaves in the brew. But, a loose translation of it from my language would be "cool tea". I dont know the ingredients, but it looks like a bunch of twigs and bark boiled in a pot.

I'm actually drinking tea right now, which inspired me to find this thread. It's about 9:40pm and I'm winding down for the night. I'm relaxing here with some organic decaf. green tea with some pure clover honey mixed in. I don't drink tea for the caffeine rush so I usually look for decaf. The brand I got escapes me at the moment but I got it at my local stater bros. for a couple bucks. it's good.
Here is a great place for tea https://www.adagio.com |
