The stuff arrived yesterday and I was surprised by the quality of everything. I did not manage to get it built up as we went to see some family and friends.

I am not sure if I am going to do a full grow with this system just yet as It would be unfair to Matt if my lack of hydro experience did not give him and me the results we want.

What I am going to do is grow out about 15 plants in soil as I think I have pretty much nearly perfected the soil thing. I want to right the mistakes I made on my last grow and then move over to hydro.

What I am going to do is try 1 bubbler bucket system so I can get the hang of the bubbler first. I would hate to do a full grow with the bubblers and it fuck up and leave me with no weed!!

I will still build the system in the next few days to see what it works like (Must refrain from doing a full grow.. Must refrain from doing a full grow.. Must refrain from doing a full grow.. )

LOL,i was going to say you'd be best just using a few buckets to start with and you don't reall need a res as long as there an air stone in each bucket.
You can just use em as single units so you could if you wanted to grow 9 different varieties as you can sort out each plants different nutrient requirements .

Hiya Matt, Ya - I will be having a tinker with it next week as I have a whole 7 days off work.. If I get bored I start building shit and trying to take over the world..

Nah JK - Just some time to chill as I work so much..

I love growing - no doubt about that, I love spending time touching the plants and getting to know each one and what they like etc.. I know it sounds a bit gay but it feels really relaxing and therapeutic.

So I best give some sort of valuble contribution now that things are starting to get going.

I was going to clone them last night but for some reason my Clonex has gone off.. I opened the pot and it smelled like old ASS or something was rottting inside the tub.. I had to order some more from tinterweb.

#1 = Fem and not as stocky and bushy as the other.
#2 = Is a weird one - Stem is almost rectangular and has nodal inconsistent compact nodal spacing.
#3 = Fem and the smallest of them - Doesnt seem as resistent as the others as a bit still very compact indeed.
#4 = RIP.
#5 = Fem - Nice Size, Bushyness and seems quite hardy too
#6 = Fem - Probably my fav plant of the lot - Quite bushy - very nice color and bushiest of the lot.
#7 = still not 100% sure it is but has very nice nodal spacing and has 3 branches instead of two at each node.


Root growth is very good and I am happy to pot them up in a few days once I have taken some clones.. (ffs rotten clonex) -

Once they have been potted up I am going to veg so they are really bushy and then put them into flower. I am going to use the right amount of soil this time and not be a jew and only half fill the pots (I do have Jewish genes would you believe it!) I am still deciding on what stuff to add to my final soil mix but rest assured I will post the mix on here..

In the time they are getting bushy I should have some clones to go alongside the flowering mothers and also kept one clone of each as a potential mother depending how they turn out.. So complicated for us simple folks..

I also doubled the size of my grow room yesterday so now its twice as big - I took down the sheeting that separated the mothers from the flowering plants.

Also just some pics of the buckets that came - FUCK 21.5L are big - I was not expecting them to be so big.. It makes everything else look tiny..

Yer the buckets are massive,there perfect size for my bubble bags as well,i think i might give my bubbler a go once i've rooted a few cheese in perlite.

There coming on really nicely,i can't wait for you to flower them.
Is pic 3 the plant with the whorled philotaxy (3 or more limbs per node)?
I've had a few in the past and they seem to grow out of it when the nodes start to alternate.

Have you got enough light for the larger room,will be very interesting to say the least growing them out fully,you should get a nice few Oz's per plant at a guess.
Take a few cuttings from each fem so if 1 or dies you've still got another 1 or 2 to fall back on.I've had rooting gel go off on me and it stunk real nasty,rotting something or other so now i'm not using anything to root them,i just soak em for 10-15 mins in seaweed extract and thats working a treat,takes a few days longer but is 100% organic.

Hiya matt, Yea I got enough light - I have 2x 600W ballasts and 1 400W ballast. I am going to try and get them as large and bushy as possible and I know as soon as they are potted up they are going to go mental -

thanks for the advice on the clones mate. I will clone them as soon as the gel arrives - I found my rooting powder but not sure what the results were like last time I used it..

Sounds like you've got it sorted with just the 2 x 600wer's,at the mo i'm using a 600w super metal halide to flower with to see if there's any improvement in potency with the extra UV-b they put out and so far so good,yield will probably be down a little but its quality i'm bothered about.

Was/is the powder the DOFF rooting hormone by any chance???
I use to use it and had pretty good results.

Yer, I think 1200W should be fine - I want to give the plants some space this time round rather then just cram them in there. The Lemon Stinky grow that I have just finished was done with 1 600W HPS and 1 400W MH Bulb - I just kept swapping the plants around during feeding so they all got their fair share.

The Powdered rooting stuff was from wilko's - I used it but found it sometimes dries out the bottoms of the clones and that's why I was using the organic stuff.

How mad is this.. Today I had to go to an industrial estate to grab some bits for from a sign-writers to make some better PL-L reflectors as I was leaving I made a wrong turn and I found the most awesome grow shop, I mean Grow warehouse.. Its fucking HUUGE - It has everything.. I mean everything.. I am so made up that I no longer need to rely on the tinterweb -

Do you know were to get the PL-L lamp clips for holding the bulbs in the reflector?
2 clips on 1 of my lightwings have snapped off when i changed the bulbs so need to get some more before the masking tape thats holding them in place sets alight and causes a fire.

Okay so I have been working like a cockle picker the last few days at work so potting up took a bit longer then expected. Some nice roots on all 4 plants - very healthy and strong - This is probably due to the super phosphate I added last potting up..

The soil mix I mixed together for the final pot up was

25L BioBiz All mix
2 scoops fish blood and bone
2 scoops calcified seaweed
1 scoop super phosphate

All the above was mixed together like mad and then given a good spray with some water and then covered up and left.. It was so warm when I came to use it.. mmmm

All were potted up including a top skunk 44 that I think is going to be a male anyway but fuck it

As soon as they were potted up they were given a good soaking with some bubbled water with diluted Rootgrow Rootfood, trichoderma powder and molasses.. I dunno if this micro-herd mumbo jumbo works or not but I got the shit so I might as well use it eh?

After watering the pots were super heavy - I imagine it will be like 5 days or so before I need to water again. As soon as it reaches that stage I will be cloning those bitches and once clones have rooted the mother plants will be going into flower hopefully with some lemon stinky clones that I have taken a few weeks back..
