asmara on telegraph and 51st is bomb ethiopian food. for fast food burgers, check out smart alec's on telegraph in berkeley....bomb ass veggie burgers and its really reasonably priced. south bay: tofoo com chay and the vegetarian house on santa clara are both ultra delicious. New Indian Cuisine in willow glen is also excellent. |

went to the prime rib house on van ness about 6 months ago. nice cuts and generous portions. my girlfriends uncle is an accountant at a major corporation up there and he paid with his company bonus card. i could barely walk out, i was about 10 pounds heavier.

i think most neighborhoods have a good taqueria in them. in the east bay i actually like cactus taqueria on college. Fresh ingredients, well cooked, reasonably priced. It feels like the food there is about as healthy as mexican fast food can get
in the south bay i like jaliso taqueria on king near story. Much more authentic, really good tortas and their burritos are top notch (maybe too much onion in them?) |

yeah, thats the gamble with taquerias. one time i got fucked up food poisoning at the really popular taco truck on 22nd and international in oakland. but the taco truck right by lake merrit and merrit bakery underneath that big billboard on the one way street is consistently quality. you never know
