MountainHigh Haze and Mountain High Special K Haze Test Grow
Big thankyou to Fjällhöga for giving me a chance to run these , grew the freebies out and found a stunning plant with a long flower time.
Not too concerned with 100+ days myself but most are and there should be some faster plants of equal quality in these packets. The original clone i had is lost but a friend is growing out some S1,s that are looking good so far in veg and should be an interesting comparison later. Would normally show a pic of the original packaging but the handwriting is too distinctive. First MountainHigh Haze is a 50% pure Haze cross consisting of Afghan/Haze x supersilverHazef2 Second MountainHigh Special K Haze is [ Bubba Kush x Pine Tar Kush] x Haze Based on results from the freebie run they will be grown in a standard soil/perlite mix with minimal feed in pots around 3 litre size. Will be run untopped to form a wall of green down one side of the room as they thrive in sidelit conditions with regular turning , six feet of height available at least. Males will have to rough it in an unheated conservatory where they will survive but make their qualities harder to judge due to low light induced stretch but low hours speed them up causing confusion. Find this is a useful way of culling out females as well , if they survive short hours/low light with dry air and temps down to near freezing at times without hermieing i consider them solid and likely to survive most growroom stress without problems. Going into water tonight and will post when most are up , there will probably be a ridiculous amount of flower shots later as the freebies were very photogenic , have turned an EOS digital into as near to my old 1950,s Cent as possible and the pics are getting better. Was also probably the best smoke i have had in years and was a black day when the jar ran out , friends still ask for it and a lot of good stuff has come and gone since harvest so it made an impression. Permanent flower room will also contain a right mixture of at least the following first runs..... Outlaws DPD x Urkle Bubba x DC testers Mazar al sharif freebies FMS Nev haze x NL X line Chimera,s Sassyfrass S1,s Established plants of the following to keep the jars stocked ..... Bobblegum Fat Russian from Crazy X Casey Jones X NYCD from Kinderfeld Head,s G13 - Diesel Heads Geisha Wallyducks C99 X Blackberry in quantity Add in some test runs of my own twisted experiments and an assortment of clones of unknown true origin and there is plenty going on. Seems like i get all the good stuff for nothing but i tend to document the free ones more and buy seed based on personal reccomendation or on results from other growers here. Have Venomhead and Cherry Chunk in the fridge and will be running one before xmas so not a total cheapskate

Placed on damp linen as usual and nothing happened for five days with the MHH.
Close inspection showed a hard varnish like surface on the seed , ground this off and six germed. The KHaze are a week behind and all popped without any treatment. Would advise abradeing the MHH a little before you germinate them. |

Three to four weeks in veg now and the KHaze are growing strong and fast with some variationin leaf form.
These are the extremes. The five Haze plants are paler and obviously more sativa and getting lots of side growth already. Can take little credit for their fine condition as i have done little more than water so far. Still to determine final pot size and veg time but will run untopped as planned and rely on takeing clones in mid flower and/or revegging if required or worthwhile. Any input on the Special K Haze would be welcome. |

Day 28 and four Hazes have gone into flower at 8 - 9 nodes.
Two litre pots and untopped , sideshoots should provide something cloneable in a week or so. Number five was a bit too stretched so has been topped and will follow later. Frees up some much needed space for the KHaze which have moved up a gear , as agressive now as the Mazar freebies and similar to a casual look. |
